Shikakai Powder 3.5oz (100g) - Hesh Pharma (Pack of 6)

Since I have been using this instead of shampoo, my fine hair goes five days without washing before it gets oily again (after a couple months of breaking in for my scalp to adjust). I mix with water to make a paste of the shikakai, massage it into my scalp, and rinse thoroughly. Then I soak the ends of my hair in diluted apple cider vinegar for a few moments, pour the rest of the diluted ACV over my head, let that sit for a minute, then rinse again. Once mostly dry, I rub a dab of jojoba oil around in my hair, especially on top, and occasionally use another dab of jojoba to tame flyaways.I haven't counted, but I get at least ten washes per box, possibly more like fifteen or twenty, since I only need enough to work into my scalp. Massaging it in and then rinsing it out gets my hair clean in the process.That is the sum total of my haircare products and how I use them, and my hair has never looked better. And it all starts with the shikakai.

I use this to make laundry soap. Not happy with such a small amount of powder. Would be better and happier if I could find this in a larger amount.

I found that this product had too much grim (peebles). It was hard to wash out of my hair. I like the fact that it is natural and does soften your hair; but it is too much work to then fight to get the peebles out of my hair, brush, counter top, and etc

I use this product as a hair cleanser. I find that it does get all the build up and oils out of my hair. I recently started adding other herbs like cinnamon, nutmeg and stringing nettle leaf as well plus tea tree oil to help with some itching on my scalp. I love this product but you need to add a light oil as well if you don't want your hair to feel stripped.

This is the best hair cleanser i have ever used. It Use it as a tea because any other way leaves grit in my hair. I just steep it in hot water, let it cool off, strain it, and then pur it through my hair focusing on my scalp. I massage my scalp amd smooth it through my hair length, wait a minute or two, and then rinse. Voila! Perfectly clean, silky hair that maintains that feeling long after it is rinsed out.I sometimes finger detangle my hair with coconut oil and let it sit for half an hour prior to cleansing.Minus one star because it can be a bit messy at times, and i am still perfecting my straining trchnique.

I am Caucasian with thin/fine hair and really enjoy using this product as a "shampoo". I went from shampooing every 2 days to shampooing every 5 days!Oil is NOT necessary for this product to work (I have used shakakai on its own and it works fine!) but I find my hair to be much more shiny and voluminous when I oil it before hand!

Excellent product, does a wonderful job on my long hair. I prefer the texture of this brand better than others

Shikakai is the best. It is the best product I've ever had!
