Will & Grace (The Revival): Season One [DVD]

Very happy that the show is back in this revival season. The show started out with their first episode somewhat political, which I know many people are sick of politics, but this is really where they drew the line with direct politics. All the rest of the episodes (16 all together) focus on the relationships of the foursome and some past guests they have had on the show in their earlier run. And yes, they will occasionally throw up a one liner about something political in some of the other episodes, but they always made references like this in their original eight seasons. Still hilarious comedy to forget your troubles and just hang out with Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. They still make me laugh out loud....especially Karen Walker (played by Megan Mullally (she cracks me up!!!) Some of the funnier episodes I recommend viewing "Who's Your Daddy?", "Grandpa Jack", "The Wedding", "Three Wise Men", "A Gay Olde Christmas" and "Rosario's Quinceanera". Enjoy the laughter!!!

I absolutely love the revival! So glad it's back, it's definitely different from the original series. And I'm not talking about the politics, because if you actually payed attention during the original run you would know the show has always been political in some way. The first season has a Halloween themed episode in it where a kid is dressed as Nixon and Grace says "My Dad voted for you" then says "Will what are we going to do? I'm allergic to Bee's and I'm a Democrat" They made fun of other Presidents, the first ladies. They had an episode where they voted for candidates in their local election. They had an episode where Karen outs Beverly Leslie by announcing it to the whole city saying "Attention Republicans, Beverly Leslie is a homosexual, I repeat Beverly Leslie is a homosexual". I could go on, but there's too many to list. What is different for me is it not quite feeling like the original series, even though I love it it seems to be missing something at the moment. Being sick of politics is fine, but being tired of politics because you don't like that they make fun of the President you support is ridiculous. It's comedy, lighten up and laugh. Being a liberal, I watched Last Man Standing it's entire run and laughed a lot, and it had jokes about liberals and Obama in practically every episode.

Soooooo funny! And witty! And just GOOD!!!! I honestly think it’s even better than the original W&G, and how often does that happen?! Buy it. Watch it. You will be delighted. I honestly keep checking my video feed to see if there’s a new episode, and I probably make a literal frowny face every time there’s not! Thanks for all the laughs! Please, Amazon, let them keep going as long as they want to!

I was a bit hesitant to watch this reboot. After falling in love with the original series, I was afraid they would botch it up. I was truly impressed with the writers and the performances to find that it felt like home again. I do however, feel they went a little over board on the "political" subject matter but I fully understand why they did. Its part of every day life and these characters are playing ever day people but it got a bit old and boring. Hopefully they will drop the political propaganda and bring back the fun mindless humor from the previous version..........

Fun, better than ever!

Not sure why I bought this, enjoyed the old series. With no real growth over the past 20 years this show feels sad.Seriously! Jack should have a career, Grace should be married as should Will and Karen should have some sort of ambition or drive. Then you can have interplay between Will and Graces kids or interacting with the main characters. When we last left this group they were old cliches. So with the past 20 years society has marched on, yet somehow this group hasn’t grown with the rest of us. What was sad, is now just plain boaring.Give us growth. Reflect how glbt+ are being assimilated into all levels of our social fabric. Evolve if you want to be ground breaking. No one want to see watch a vaudeville show.

Esperaba algo más wow de la serie en el reencuentro. Divertida, vale la pena para verla al menos una vez...Ellos son muy graciosos, los 4!!

As funny as the previews ones. The DVD is not compatible with European DVD system and the Spanish audio track is Latino, not Spanish from Spain. Nevertheless, the serie deserves it.

What a wonderful show! I wish the earlier 8 seasons of Will & Grace would be released on blu-ray as well! My DVDs are starting to wear out from all my reruns! And thanks Newton_Ca for your great overseas delivery of my order! You're the best!
