kids eyes wide open
Amazing show. I would recommend it to any and all ages. The actors are wonderful! I absolutely love the way the covered sensitive topics. My children were amazed by the way the custody episode was handled. It really was awesome for them to see how Jake had to actually READ A BOOK to learn the knowledge of current laws. And regarding Jake, my children also were able to see how sometimes grown ups couldn't read. That they had to quit school, if they went at all, to help support their families. My 11 year old daughter was shocked to see how women had no voting rights. The Cheyenne Indian story line is also really well done. As an adult I find it sad to know they were treated that way. For the kids I think they just question how the Army can be so mean. All around my kids and I learn alot about history and we feel grateful we live in the age we do.

love Sully and the kids
I remember loving this show as a young girl and it hasn't lost a thing for me. I still admire Dr. Mike, love Sully and the kids, and adore Cloud Dancing. Every time I see General Custer being an Indian hating bigot, I remember the Little Big Horn. He is portrayed as such a douche in this show. I had forgotten how narrow-minded and ignorant the townspeople were, but they always seem to come through when it counts. The magic of Hollywood! I am enjoying introducing my grandchildren to Dr Quinn and the gang.

A favorite from the 90s!
Dr. Quinn first aired when I was only 9 years old. I remember watching it with my family and enjoying the characters and themes. I was thrilled to see it on Prime. Amazingly after 20 years, the show still evokes the same emotional response (laughter, tears, heart warming moments). If I had to choose a favorite season, it would be 2. Joe Lando and Jane Seymour have such chemistry as this season explores their becoming a couple, and learning what loving someone truly means. Great show!

Great clean educational Family show
I absolutely love these two seasons of Dr. Quinn medicine Woman. I love the way it ended but I didn't like the fact that it did end . It was a very good family show had educational features of what life probably was like back in those days . With the friendly Indians it showed the family that they were not all warriors . It showed the rough of life and made you appreciate the way we have it today . Very entertaining I hope there is more like this

A beautiful season in a bittersweet series
I was totally addicted to this show as a teenager in the 90's. The music was absolutely gorgeous and drew me in. The show touched a deep part of my soul. Seasons 1 and 2 are my favorites. I think the show gets too "heavy" emotionally later on, with a lot of the early happy endings becoming very sad and depression. I went through years of not watching it. I found it on Amazon Prime a couple years ago (now a married woman in the late 30's, when I hadn't watched it since I was a teen). I still love this show, but I only want to watch the first two seasons, then drop it and rewrite the rest of the story in my mind. The end of season 2 left everyone at a good place. Admittedly, season 3 ends with Dr. Mike and Sully's wedding, which is an important event in the series, so I might be willing to bend and say that I'd watch through season 3, but then, no further. It gets too sad and depressing later on. Too much heartbreak (not for Michaela and Sully, but for almost everyone else!). However, I kind of thing season 2 ends on the best note for all concerned. Anyway, this show has a special place in my heart.

... have been well cast and the acting is very good. Jane Seymour is perfect for the part
The characters have been well cast and the acting is very good. Jane Seymour is perfect for the part. Above all it is good wholesome entertainment that can be enjoyed by the whole family. That is hard to come by these days. We are just starting on the third season, but if the rest of it is as good as the first two seasons, it rates 5 stars easily. Bring on more of the same.
