Worth every penny!!
I installed a French drain that is 300 linear feet. This product is literally 5 times thicker than any product you will see at Home Depot. Water flows through it in less than 10 seconds (that's fast). With the Home Depot product, I can pierce the fabric with a 3" fabric staple using minimal pressure from my hand. This product is 10 times stronger as I have to use the full weight of my 200lb body to pierce this fabric with the same 3" staple. I feel good knowing I bought the best fabric for my French drain! Buy it - you won't regret it!

This 6oz fabric is excellent material for french drains
I had a really hard time finding quality non-woven geotextile fabric for a french drain I am/was installing. Big box stores sell weed blocker at best, which is totally insufficient for this application. I have purchased both 8oz and 6oz supergeotextile from reaction tackle; both are great. They are heavy-duty, durable fabrics that allow water to flow through rapidly. I prefer the 6oz version for drainage as it is still plenty durable and in testing, a 30 gallon garbage can upended on the fabric goes through IMMEDIATELY, so I believe it will be fantastic for large volumes of water. The 8oz also performs very well but may be overkill. With how affordable this fabric was, you'd be crazy not to use it when installing a french drain.I would also recommend using this fabric (6oz would work, but 8oz would be better as it is substantially thicker in my opinion) to lay over areas to block weeds since it appears to be much more durable than traditional weed blocker.

PERFECT WEED BARRIER, EASY TO HANDLE, DOES A GREAT JOB
PERFECT, heavy mat, easy to handle, easy to form, & so dang tough I threw away the first staples which bent & used 20 penny nails. Live on the coast, lost of strong wind & it hasn't;t moved or lifted --would order it for any project

Soil Separator/ Retaining Wall
The pics attached are of a retaining wall I am building not yet completed. The Geo Textile is being used to seperate the soil from the drainage gravel behind the wall. I wanted something heavier than a 4oz. fabric, i felt an 8 ounce may be too much. The 6 oz fabric purchased seems to be very nice. I observed it it in a pouring rain, it seemed to bleed the water through nicely.I am very happy with the purchase. I will mention it was delivered USPS.... I was biting my nails waiting for it arrival. I had rented equipment to use but needed the fabric first. It made it just in time.

Expensive, but effective
When building a French drain, you need to line the trench with geotextile fabric to keep dirt from migrating into the rocks, even if you have a sock on the pipe. The local landscape supply store only had cheap 2 oz fabric, and the big box stores had even flimsier fabric. This stuff is tough; it's hard to cut and hard to puncture, but it also drains very effectively. The one thing that could really be fixed about this product is the shipping. I received mine folded up in a box too large for the fabric with no padding, so the box was severely damaged from the fabric bundle bouncing around inside it during shipping. Also, the fabric ships folded up, rather than rolled, so you have to have an open outdoor area where you can unfold a hundred feet of fabric before laying it down.

Strong Material!
Lined my French drain with the 6oz fabric and the only downside is I had to use a hammer to put stakes it into place! Yes it's that strong but also seems to take on water relatively quickly. Time will tell how long it holds up to the rigors of time, but for price and the general strength, seems like a good product. Highly recommended!

Thick and durable
My review is based on observation during installation and the companys written specs sinces it's only been installed a couple weeks and I can't tell exactly how it performs underground in my French drain. The product is incredibly strong and has a good thickness. I could not cut it with scissors, I had to use tin snips. However you could see faint bits of light through it when holding it up to the sun. So it appears to be the right strength and porosity combination. My French drain worked just as planned with the couple times it rained so apparently this fabric is working fine.

Will let any amount of rainfall through to your drain.
Easy to use and let water through as fast as you could pour it on. Plenty strong to hold up to any abuse you would put it through while you are finishing your project. Very glad I researched and chose this product.
