WaterGard QS Seed Coating - Reduced water usage. WaterGard QS is a unique polymer coating with a micronutrient package. WaterGardQS seed coating works by capturing, storing and releasing available water to the seed. As water comes in contact with WaterGard QS its insoluble matrix expands, encapsulating the seed within a moisture rich environment. This reduces the amount of water needed to grow your seed. Once the seed germinates, the Quick Start micronutrient package feeds the new seedling, increasing plant vigor, resulting in a thicker, greener lawn.

Great Seed
I used this seed for a part of my hard that doesn't get a lot of sun. It previously had bermuda but there wasn't enough sun to support it and it died out. I tried other seed over the years but none of them really took. I put down new soil last fall and just spread this seed. I didn't fuss too much with the watering. I let it grow and looked for some bare spots. I reseeded the bare spots. After a couple of seeding, the grass filled in and looks great. I did use a starter fertilizer. The other picture contains a sport were there was no grass after I removed a bush. I wasn't fussy at all with this. I just threw the seed on the clay dirt, and lightly covered it with some compost. It started growing after about 2 weeks. It has been pretty rainy here so it got watered a couple times a week.My only "complaint" about this grass is it grows too fast now. If you want to stick to only cutting at most 1/3 of the height off, you may have to cut it multiple times a week.

Delivered what it promised.
Liked the fact that it actually showed growth in six days. It was planted in mid September. It filled in and covered an area with no grass at all (dogs beat it up pretty good). Came in thick and with great color. Did not even put fertilizer down until middle of October.

Don’t let the seeds dry out. Keep them moist.
we Had dead sections of our grass, so we decided to try seeds. We received the package in the evening, and didn’t do much prep. We raked some of the dead grass out and spread the seeds by hand. Then used very little top soil to cover. We put the seeds down in the summer where the days were 95-102 degrees and they did really well growing. 6 days after, the grass was already growing and at 8 days it looks great. We are so happy with the seeds and how well they are working. We never let the seeds or grass get dry and watered it 4-5 times a day. Mainly because of how hot it is outside. This seemed to work very well. We didn’t over water but just enough to where the grass and seeds didn’t dry out.We also tossed some on dead spots that we did not take or use top soil, and those areas are also growing new grass. We will buy again if we need to fill in anymore spots.I’ve edited to add a picture of the grass today. It looks thick and blends in with the rest of the grass.

Reliable
this is really reliable grass seed...it came up beautifully...except where some birds ate the seed...I am going to order more...but so far it is better than Scotts seed which wasn't anywhere near as reliable!

Great Seed!
I did not have time to prep ground properly but wanted to do a little seeding before it got to cold so I just spread some seed with a little bit of dirt. I was amazed at how well it grew. I will definitely use this brand for my future seeding.

Grows Easy, Fast, Thick, Dark Green
I have purchased this product four times (3lbs three times, 8lbs one time) over the course of this season for two yards. This seed has consistently grown well in areas of shade and sun, little water or a lot, and in 45 degrees Fahrenheit - North East Ohio. I'd say it's tough stuff. No need to cover it, just spread it and wet it. Good to go. Two important things. 1. I'm a lawn care rookie, so overestimated how much seed 3 pounds is. If you're unsure how much you need: save yourself time/money and just get the next size up. 2. This seed comes covered in blue dust. All reviews I read indicated this is fine and expected, perhaps even helpful. Just wear gloves and wash your arms well after. Have fun literally watching this grass grow!

Beautiful grass in 2 weeks!
I love in Florida and I have bare areas in my yard because I have a huge oak tree blocking the sun. I purchased this seed in hopes to fill in some of those spots. I did not follow the rules. I just spread it down heavily and watered. I did not loosen the soil at all. I then started watering daily. With 5 days it was growing about an inch tall. Now 2 weeks later it is thick and beautiful and my grass looks green and pretty. I used another seed that died off in 3 weeks with the Florida heat so I am praying that this one does not do that. If it does I will come back and change my review
