Perfect carry on luggage
Great luggage. I have a few other sizes of Away and they have all worked perfectly. This size is perfect carry on. Rolls smoother and effortlessly. Plenty of space for a carry on and good organization pockets inside. Lightweight and durable.

Great suitcase
I bought this for a 2 week trip to Japan and it fit everything I needed, plus souvenirs to bring home. Super easy to roll around through the airport and Tokyo streets and underground, where there are many bumps for blind navigation. The zippers were super smooth to open and close and it handled baggage claim like a champ. Though it did fit everything I needed it to, I did miss the ability to expand it like with may other suitcases I’ve owned, but I managed well enough.

Handle defective but AWAY warranty fixed it, overall happy
Overall I like this suitcase. I think it’s a good size, light enough to lift into overhead storage, and I like the organization inside. It wheels around very smoothly. There are a lot of AWAY suitcases rolling around US airports nowadays. I did have to use the limited lifetime warranty, see below. Warranty experience: My suitcase had a minor defect upon delivery. The handle when pulled upward would about 50% of the time get stuck halfway. Compressing the button again and trying to pull it up didn’t solve it. I’d have to push the handle all the way down again and try pulling it up again, and it would often get stuck a second time. Very annoying, and clearly a defect. This does mean that I now have direct experience with AWAY’s customer service. On their website, the warranty form asks for an order number. At the time of me using it, the warranty form doesn’t accept Amazon order numbers (only order numbers from their own website). I contact customer support directly, explained the issue, provided photos, and provided my receipt. They handled the warranty claim for me, and they immediately sent me a replacement handle kit at no cost to me. The good news is that Amazon orders fall under their warranty. This isn’t the case for all suitcase brands. This is one of the reasons I chose AWAY: I like the idea of the suitcase being modular and fixable through these kits versus having to spend my time taking a suitcase to an approved repair location or spending my money shipping the suitcase to a repair location. I am pleased to say that the handle kit was easy to replace (need to use your own screwdriver) and that the replacement handle kit works as expected.

Great Suitcase Upgrade After 15 Years
I’ve always loved my TravelPro suitcase. It lasted me 15 years, which was a real testament to the quality of the product. When it finally broke, I was looking for a suitable replacement. As a frequent traveler, a new suitcase is a big purchase, so I spent a lot of time reading reviews. At the top of all the big lists (Wire Cutter, etc.) was the Away Carry On suitcase. Based on what I read, I decided to give this case a try. So far, I’ve taken it on two short trips and I’m preparing to take it overseas. I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. The wheels are strong, durable, and glide easily over any type of a surface. The case itself is lightweight, and that really matters when you're packing for airplane travel. I’m also amazed at how much I can fit inside, thanks to the compression pad. The compression pad really works wonders (amazing - with packing cubes). I love that the suitcase is lightweight and I can squish everything down to fit a bunch of stuff in it. The biggest pull for me was the lifetime warranty. That’s what sold me on the suitcase. If a wheel breaks or something happens to the handle, Away will fix it for the life of the product. It makes this competitive with Briggs and Riley, which is another suitcase manufacturer that I was also considering.

Beautiful Case
Perfect for my needs. It fits all TSA bins, is easy to move around, and is small but holds a lot. Special is the starch sponge to buff out marks.

Good quality!
Good quality case. My first hardcover carry on and I'm very happy with it. Lots of room inside and good organization with top and bottom sections.

Best carry-on i’ve ever had!
It’s been with me for 3 trips now and I can see it was without a doubt worth the cost. It’s easy to maneuver in crowded airports, and the compression feature has allowed me to stay carry on only for 4/5 day trips.
