The product description left out the best feature of this jump box!
Think all battery jump boxes are the same? Think again. I thought this too until I tried to use my old unit to start my car after the battery had drained to zero. The unit was a brick, doing nothing! Yeah, they don’t tell you that the unit won't activate if the battery voltage is below a certain value. They do this so automatic polarity detection is maintained, and so the unit can ensure it is connected to a 12v battery. Well, the Hulkman Alpha has both those protections, but with a very important difference. If your battery is truly dead, you can activate an emergency start feature which bypasses these protections and gets you on your way (simply press the power button and the flashlight button simultaneously for 2 to 3 seconds to get into this mode). With great power comes great responsibility, so you need to have some clue of what you’re doing. Just treat the device like a standard set of jumper cables when in this mode, and you'll be fine. It sure beats being stranded. Don’t underestimate the importance of this feature, as it’s a game changer. It's funny they don't even mention this feature in their ad.As a plus, this unit is stone simple. Fortunately, a jump box is a device I may only use once a year, if that. Ones I’ve used in the past required me to dig out the instructions to follow step-by-step to get the thing to work. With this unit, all you do is attach it to the battery (it will detect if you hook it up wrong), wait for the word “READY” to appear on the large display, and start your car. Nothing could be simpler. In addition, the unit makes a heck of a battery brick. You can power your device using either the USB-A or USB-C outlet. In addition to that, there’s a built-in flashlight.I’ve owned a number of battery jump boxes, and this one is clearly the most feature packed and easiest to use unit I’ve tried. But most importantly, I know it won’t leave me stranded if my battery is too dead for other lesser jump boxes to recognize.

Fast charging to be able to use. Amazing warning alerts, extra boost, and even SOS blinking lights.
This is a great jump starter!I wanted a battery jumper that I wouldn't have to read a book to figure out how to use it. Plus those old jumper cables are so big and awkward to keep nice and tidy. The bonus is that this is small enough to keep in my vehicle, for emergencies.Yes, it does come with instructions which are easy to read and understand. What is most impressive about this batter booster to me, is that it alerts you when you hook it up wrong.See in my picture, where the 100% shows (I had just finished charging it up) is where the warning or ready shows. It does light up with the word 'ready' when you have it correctly hooked up.The instruction booklet also advises how to over ride the safety warnings to give it a bigger boost to start a battery if not starting from the jump starter.Another thing that is impressive with this item is it has a flashlight and two LED lights that have a 50%, 100%, a blinking light, AND a SOS signal light. How amazing is this? All in one little unit!I am keeping it in the box it came in, with the jumper cables to hook to the battery to get a charge.I am keeping the charging cord in the box also, as the cord part is a lot thicker than a cell phone cord.I had a hard time opening up the hard rubber covers to the charging ports.I used a spare butter knife to open them up. I put it in the box with this jumper. No worries about not being able to get either port open if and when I might have to use it.This is an item that I hope that I will never need to use. It is a nice piece of mind to have it and not need it. It will ride in the trunk area in my vehicle, safe and secure.I highly recommend this battery starter.

I Like These, Won't Do Without
My first of this type of starter aid, I had as a truckdriver, a good 15 years ago. There were plenty of times, such helped me out, after running my batteries down too low.Ever since then, every car I have, has one of these. Even for a brand new car, or a car with a brand new battery, there's always a time when someone asks you for a start. (Even though I drive new cars, I'm usually jump-starting someone else's car, once or twice a year.)And if you hook directly between your battery and theirs, you have no idea what condition theirs is in, and if it might harm your battery. If there something wrong with their battery, this starter will almost instantaneously stop the flow of electricity, and no harm will be done. (Something you can't say for a direct battery to battery connection.)Furthermore, this starter is about as simple and easy to use, as can get.1) Attach the black line to the battery black/negative line.2) Then attach the red line to the battery red/positive line.3) Then start the car. There are no buttons to push, only thing to do; is turn the starter key on the car to be started.Plus the benefit; that if you can walk to the battery of the car to be started, you can jump-start it. No need for that car to be park accessible to another car...or your starter cables to be extra long.Granted, this one is a bit small and light...as far as such portable jump starters go. But it's still strong enough to start any car, and most all pickups. Size is not about strength. Size is about the amount of times; it can be used, before needing to be recharged. And here, unless there's other problems, you should expect to be able to charge two to three cars.So as far as I'm concerned, this is a "must have" item in a car.

Gets the Job Done—Simple and Reliable
Got the job done with no issues. I’ve seen some higher-end versions out there, but this one worked well and was easy to use when I needed it. It’s a reliable pick if you just want something that works without all the extra bells and whistles.
