I have a pair of Robo-Grip pliers purchased about 25 years ago, not from Amazon as Amazon did not then exist. They are the most useful versatile tool i possess. Apart from the odd scratch they are as good as new. The handles are well bonded to the metal, the spring has lost none of its strength. Mine came with plastic covers for the grips when used on where scratches are unacceptable. I note that these are no longer included. Judging from many of the reviews I doubt that those currently on sale are genuine from the USA as mine are.
