I think there may be one company in China that makes all of the console/fireplaces regardless of brand name. This is the second unit I have purchased, this time for another room so I like the product. The furniture hardware and fireplaces are all pretty much the same. The furniture itself is very nicely finished, the protective packaging is excellent, directions are fairly easy to follow the fireplace works really well and the flame is amazingly realistic. That bring said, there appears to be some differences in setup between brands. This one was not as easy to assemble as the first I bought, and required more thought and rework. Still a very good product that looks good and works very well. One suggestion on the fireplace unit - buy the infrared rather than the coil. It is a gentler, quieter, non-drying heat.

I really like this fireplace, the heat is enough to keep my living room nice and cozy on really cold evenings. Even when the fireplace element is not in use the entertainment center looks very nice. Assembly was surprisingly easy I put it together by myself in about an hour with the "assistance" of a four old lol. It seems really sturdy, the only thing that did kind of irk me about this is the back part is made of cardboard, for the price it seems like they could've used something of a little better quality then cardboard even for the back of the unit but again it's on the back so not to big of a deal and I think the rest of the unit makes up for it. I would definitely recommend this product overall I think it's a great value for a great product

***Updated Review after 2 years***We've now had this unit for a little less than 2 years. We've never moved this unit or touched it for that matter other than to dust it. The black paint around the fireplace itself is completely flaking off on one side. Its not from heat as its the opposite side of the vent. Very disappointed. Its a defect, had to drop it from 5 stars to 3!*** Original Review***Solid wood so it will not warp over time. Well constructed and fairly easy to put together with minimal tools. Holds a 55" tv perfectly. Fireplace is very nice with fake log. Can use the fireplace with or without heat although its only 18" so not big but big enough in my opinion (has a remote & thermostat.) Worth the money....

I did a lot of research before ordering this particular unit. I was very pleased at how quickly it was shipped and the condition it was in. It took just under three hours to assemble with the heating unit packaged in one piece. All you have to do is put it in the unit. The shelf part has two openings for the cords, one opening for cords going up to the television and one going down to the electrical outlet. The actual fire is very easy to watch and the temperature and heat settings are adjustable, both on the unit and with the enclosed remote control. An added bonus is a marker the same color as the unit to cover any scratches.All in all, this has been a great addition to our living area.

I have a VERY small living room and didn't have a lot of space for my entertainment stuff. This looks wonderful and has a very small footprint. I have a 42" TV on it and I wouldn't recommend it for anything larger than that..I didn't have any trouble putting it together. There was one part on the front that didn't line up flush but it's the same way on the opposite side so I think it may have been a bad idea rather than a defect. However, it's not the sort of thing anyone would notice.

The whole unit was a bit smaller than I thought it would be and a bit on the pricey side. However, putting it together was very easy for me. The quality of the wood seems good. The slate around the fireplace is fake and kind of cheesy,but overall I am very happy with the look of it in my living room and how easy it was to put together. .

great to sit a tv on and so far love the fake fire place, so far the heater works great

Beautiful fireplace but my room is smaller than 1500 sq foot and the heater does not heat the room well if it's 30 degrees out. May be good for a regular room but not a sunroom where I'm using it.
