Great Long Lasting Ball but for Supervised Play Only - Not a Chew Toy
Heavy but dogs love it. Depends on the dog, like every other dog toy. Smells horrible when it comes out of the box. Keep it outside until the smell subsides. It took a couple of months but much better. We've had the "soccer ball" equivalent of this for 2 years. I can verify that they hold up, but don't leave your dog unsupervised or they may chew through it. It's a play toy, not a chew toy.

Jolly Pet Toss and play ball
This jolly ball came in and seemed very indestructible. My dog chewed the handle immediately. The rest of the ball is in tact

Not nearly as durable as those I bought years ago
I have purchased Jolly balls for my dogs for a very long time. I had an 8" Jolly ball purchased in 2008 that stood up to Irish Wolfhounds from puppyhood through old age, a Boxer, a Coonhound, and a Lab/Shepherd mix. All the larger dogs are gone now but when we got a new, smaller breed puppy that enjoyed the same ball I thought I would get another as the old one was starting to break at the handle. And that's fine, it stood up to hard use for 13 years. So I bought a new 8" Jolly ball in July 2025 and it has already been destroyed by a 15 lb puppy. The Jollypets website suggests the 8" ball for large dogs in the 60-90 lb. range, and this Amazon listing says 20-60 lbs. Either way a 15 lb. dog should not be able to destroy it yet my Miniature Poodle tore the handle right off in less than 80 days. I don't know if they have changed the material they are made of or what, but the durability I expected from past experience was nowhere to be found and I am profoundly disappointed in the quality of the newer Jolly ball. If a 15 lb. puppy can destroy a ball advertised for 20-60 lb. dogs (never mind 60-90 lbs.) something is wrong. I feel like Jolly should either replace this or refund my money. Obviously I am outside their return window, cannot prove manufacturer defect, and don't expect anything, but this really leaves a bad taste in my mouth for Jolly products.

Great!
This is the BEST toy!! My dogs (GSP & GSD) pop, rip, break, etc. everyyyy single toy they get. I got this one in the heavy duty and I am pleased to say that it is holding up GREAT! We’ve had this for about a month and it is still fully intact. I like how there is a small hole in the bottom to release the air, so the ball is essentially un-popable. The door is so cute and it is blueberry flavored. Even after a month, I can still smell the blueberry! It is very bouncy and the dogs LOVE to play with it. I would 100% recommend!

Not for aggressive chewers
My dog loved this ball, but it only lasted 1 day before he had it chewed up. I am going to buy another one for him to love lol He whipped it so hard that the handle stayed in his mouth and the ball flew over his 10 ft kennel outside. If you have a pitbull that shakes or tears up their toys then this is not the ball for you, it's not made for heavy play. Otherwise good quality ball for a non aggressive chewer

Good toys, but the horse ones are better for large breed dogs
We have a four year old German Shepherd who absolutely loves his Jolly Ball time, but he destroys the dog Jolly Balls fast. They get lacerations and punctures all over them in just a few days which causes them to lose their shape. The horse ones are more durable and last weeks despite GSD. Be warned, if your dog thrashes these a lot their neck mucles will become very strong. With enough solo time playing with their Jolly Ball they will learn how to entertain themselves with it. Should you dog ever get a hold of a small animal (cat, rabbit, opposum, etc) it may not survive the encounter and may be tossed in the air and caught... or not. Last opposum to enter into our yard was tossed into the air and caught or our dog would let it hit the ground then would scoop it up only to thrash it around a bit before tossing it again. Basically, the same thing he will do with the Jolly Ball.

Tough and loved by my dog
My dogs Love these. My little destructive Australian shepherd attacked one immediately and proudly carried it around with its handle in her mouth. She’s chewing on them like crazy, and my couches are safer.

Great heavy duty toy
My German shepherd loves to play with this toy. The material is super heavy duty and holding up to her strong bite. Ours is red rubbery material so is strong and easily found outside in the yard. She plays with it inside too but its a little big to be an inside toy. There's no squeakers in it. Very good playability, functional, and we love it. We bought it because Lucy likes to carry around bricks which is damaging her teeth. We got rid of all the bricks in the yard and she loves to carry and herd this ball around.
