The brogue is leather lined to allow the foot to breathe and includes a padded leather insole and top line for maximum comfort. Features of this shoe are the compound flexible sole unit allowing grip in all weathers whilst absorbing the impact shock of a sustained marches.

sizes are in UK when selecting on Amazon
Just for future reference the size noted when you use the drop down to select your size is a UK sizing. In my instance the size was 12.5 US so thats what I selected. When I received them the box reflects US size of 13.5. This might help with the "too large" size confusion I am seeing with a bunch of purchases.

Impressed
I play in a pipe band and get a lot of use from my gillies each year. First time buying them from Amazon, I was a little nervous because I spend so much marching time in these things, they need to fit and be comfortable. So far I’m impressed. They fit as expected from the size chart. They are comfortable, and have held up well so far. The leather is of good quality, I was concerned about the shine, but they shine well and seem durable so far. I recommend.

Fit exactly as expected. Nice pair of brogues. US 13/UK 12. Thicker laces than I’m used to, but I’m alright with that. My last pair lasted me 18 years and those were Doc Martens soles. These are a similar sole, not a leather one. So, walking around in these shouldn’t cause any issues.

Solid Comfortable Shoes
These are well made, solid, and much more comfortable than a previous pair I owned. These fit a half size large. I usually wear a 10.5-11.5 in U.S. sizes depending on the shoe. So on average an 11. The one that fit me was the 9.5 UK size. I hope this helps estimate the size for the next person...

As long as you measure your foot correctly, you’ll get the right size. These are very nice for the price. I’m very happy to have purchased these.

Beautiful Ghillies, but the 8 1/2 fits slightly too big. I wear a size 9 boot, and these fit like maybe a 9 1/2. Will try inserts and see if it helps, but otherwise these are gorgeous and will wear them with pride.
