AC Power Supply Adapter Wall Charger UK Plug For Nintendo 64 System N64

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews about the connector being the wrong way up but as my official one had failed I needed a replacement, on arrival I compared new with old and all looked fine and it fitted perfectly into the N64, not too loose not too tight, as mentioned the power supply does get hot but works perfectly so hopefully there will be many more hours of classic Nintendo gaming fun for all thr family!

This works exactly as it should. The fit is tight, as some have said, but I just pushed it in slowly to make sure it was lined up and that was that. I was back playing GoldenEye straight away! When I took my N64 out after a few years and my psu broke I was gutted. I tried to fix it myself because the reviews here have been mixed. But I bit the bullet and bought this and it's spot on.

this worked well for a few months and i was thrilled - fit fine despite others saying it did not. However, sometime later it stopped functioning correctly. The N64 would show a power light but not power on/show screen. After multiple attempts to get it working the N64 power light stopped coming on and I realised too late: I've fried the board. Stripping down the N64 I found the VDU was baking hot when plugged in. N64 dead. roll forward a few months and i've obtained a second n64 without any leads. I look at this old PSU and wonder "maybe my n64 just died and the psu is fine?" so I dared to try it. The new n64 did the same as the old one: light on, but no screen. I immediately turned it off not willing to run more risks. I went to a friend to borrow his official PSU, brought it home, plugged it into the new n64 and it worked perfectly in every way. I then picked up this PSU from amazon which I had left plugged into the wall and the brick was HOT. Hazzard level hot. Its now in the trash. Don't lose your N64 to this thing like I did.

So glad I found this adaptor it allowed me to pay the N64 I’ve been wanting to play for ages. Super quick delivery.

I wasn’t sure why my n64 wasn’t working and couldn’t test on any one else’s. So I bought this power supply hoping that was why and I’m so glad I did. It does fit a little snug and gets warm but aside from that, works like a treat.

While the product does work, it does not fit in the way you would expect, you will get the feeling that the socket pins aren't plugged in, when in fact they are. The original power brick has the pins slightly recessed in the socket, whereas this one does not.

Got the N64 back up and running. Not as good a fit as original *(which clicked into place) but does work

I was worried my N64 was broken, luckily it was just the lead. Got this new one and it works perfectly! Can’t wait to play Donkey Kong 64 again.

This replacement power source unit was for an official one that seemed to be failing. My N64 was restarting, sometimes after 15 minutes, sometimes after an hour. I initially suspected the new HD TV adaptor I was using, but it seems now it was just the unit beginning to give up the ghost. This product, a replacement, actually works fine. No issues. It doesn’t clip into place like the official unit, it just slides in. I’m relieved to have found it, as the power source units aren’t nearly as robust as the console itself, and the units fail all the time. So, it’s good to know you can replace them inexpensively. I’m giving it 4 stars.
