As a hairstylist with a very strong focus on men’s hair for over 20 years, I applaud the guys at Highland for what they are doing. A product line with quality and minimal ingredients we can actually read and understand. This clay is what I have always wanted!! Sure you’ll see some reviews talking about how there isn’t enough hold or it’s not even a medium hold when it says it’s strong hold on the package, but you have to understand, when a product is this clean, strong hold isn’t going to feel like the strong hold in the garbage products most of us have used. This is a strong hold, in terms of keeping your best natural look all day. Something you can work into place, then continuously run your hands through all day and it still looks great. The men’s clay from Davines does a wonderful job at this too, but there’s something about the finish of this product that literally brings out such a healthy natural look. Not shiny either and definitely does not give you a wet look out of the shower. If you see that kind of review, the guy most likely has greasy hair, is using cheap conditioner, or perhaps applied too much. Don’t over use this product in your application, you get the best out it. This is my second time buying the pomade, I have the cream as well. Honestly some of the best new product I’ve tried. The hold is perfect, not too hard and not too soft, plus it leaves a nice shine and smells great. Big fan!

I like the texture and the smell, and I like how it doesn’t leave a sticky residue on my hands. That being said, the hold is just ok and I think it’s really overpriced for how much you get.
