Q: What side, red or black, do you prefer for your forehand or is there not a difference with this model?

I haven't tried specifically playing one side Vs the other on this paddle although I generally play the black side. I do get much more spin on the serves. Overall I am still getting used to it.

Yes, both sides are black. It's technically a recreational paddle.

Not sure. If you can get it off. Then you can replace it.
