Toshiba Storage Device Division offers 5,400 RPM 2.5" HDD series with slim design optimized for industry-leading storage applications. The latest HDD series, MQ01ABD050 offers a wide capacity from 250GB to 1TB and is designed to be 9.5mm in height with only two platters.

The advanced MQ01ABD050 targets the market including portable multimedia and gaming notebooks, mobile workstations, external hard drives, and other applications that require capacity. In addition, the drive has a very good power efficiency value of 0.00055 in the 1TB model. With the "silent seek" technology on these drives, the hard drive is very quiet. Ultra silent single platter drive boasts acoustics of 19dBA and 17dBA (idol) and is virtually indistinguishable from human ears.

Due to its compact size and best-in-class specifications, the SATA MQ01ABD050 series is ideal for devices where sophisticated form factor and high capacity features are essential.

As with all Toshiba hard drives, the entire series is halogen free and RoHS compatible, making it very environmentally friendly.
