Spicy Crispy Chili Oil (Shanla Tsui Yu Lajiao)

Can’t find these in Japan so had to order them in. Arrived quickly and in good condition. Very tasty

Aroma is nice. Though I find it mild.

My friend recommended this to me to just add to white rice for a quick easy meal. It has a very distinct flavor. I have a lot of issues with food textures, so the hard, crunchy beans (I think?) were kind of a turn off for me personally. I also found it to be not quite enough to simply eat with plain rice, but I tried making omurice with it and add it to soups with pretty decent results! That being said I'm not entirely sure if I'd like to buy it again. It didn't feel like something I'd go out of my way to have. It's very oily but that's to be expected. Can be a bit hard to clean up after though, which is also a turn off for me since I have lery low energy on a daily basis. And lastly it will leave an aftertaste in your mouth which I also don't quite like. The flavor in itself however is nice and spicy, and lao gan ma has proven very versatile. I likely would have been more excited to have it if I had grown up with it <3

Neye katarsanız katın muhteşem bir lezzet veriyor. 1 porsiyon için 1 tatlı kaşığı eklemek yetiyor. Şimdiye kadar birkaç tane sipariş ettim. Bir tanesi biraz yağ sızdırmıştı. Paketleme iyiydi ama kapağı biraz sorunlu sanırım. Bunun için ne yapılabilir bilmiyorum.

SOOO good. Slightly obsessed. Adds the perfect crunch and spice to noodles or dumplings but I use this on everything haha. Thankfully mine has always come well packaged, no cracks or spills. Pro tip: once its half done, it dries up a bit so I add a mix of vegtable oil & sesame seed oil to loosen up the crisp a bit more.
