Mostly OK
This is advertised as a genuine GE part - however, I have my doubts. While size and configuration match (GE 860DJ3WW range), the indexing holes for the mounting clips have a problem. In my case, the original burner indexed on holes 14, 34, and 50. This replacement did not have a position 34 - it jumped from 33 to 35 (apparently by design). But, I was able to drill a hole where 34 should have been and it worked fine. That being said, this new element works as expected. Just be prepared that you may have to improvise the mounting.

DIY Repair with You Tube Video and saved $$$
My husband and I had two burners go out on our eight year-old stove top. The first, we had a repairman come to the house to diagnose the problem and replace the heating element. Hundreds of dollars and 2 weeks later, we had a working burner. When the second burner went out, we went on Amazon and found the OEM replacement part. Watching a YouTube video, we safely replaced this burner in less than 15 minutes. Seriously!

Broke Exactly 1 Year After Purchase
I ordered this burner replacement on November 6th of 2021. Today is November 3rd of 2022 and the burner has stopped working. The outermost ring has burned out and no longer heats. I called GE to discuss a potential replacement since it’s out of the Amazon warranty. GE claims that this is NOT an actual GE part and it’s fraudulent. I explained that it’s sold by Amazon themselves and not some unknown third party seller AND that the item came in GE packaging. GE customer service rep says the packaging is fraudulent too. I don’t believe him for a second but either way, he said they can’t do anything for us and that the part is $175 to order directly from GE. That’s about 20% of the cost of the entire stove all just to replace one burner. Absolutely ridiculous all around. Order one small part for 20% or throw out the stove to a landfill and get a new one for the cost benefit. That’s what’s wrong with appliances these days. More cost effective to buy an entire stove than to replace one burner. Ridiculous.

Works as expected
Found this after coming from GE website where they wanted double the price. Install was fairly smooth not an exact replacement as one of the quick disconnects didn't line up from the OEM to this unit. Powered on and been using it for about a day now. No problems. Hopefully it lasts.

This was a direct replacement for our failed element. I haven't noticed the difference using this one to the original. Replacing the element was much cheaper than buying a new stove.

fonctionne très bien depuis 1 ans.

I do not like the fact that to replace an element on the stove, costs 1/4 of the price of the stove when bought new. This stove is only eight years old. Appliances used to last for many years, but not now. There is one plus, the part was the same as the one replaced.
