This says soy free but the ingredients include vegetable oil. What kind of oil is it?

what is the protein content of this product?

Susieq,The crude protein content for this product is 16%. The main sources of protein are Organic Peas, Fish Meal, Crab Meal, Camelina Meal...

They do not list all the ingredients. Could someone please tell me if they use canola for the protein. Don't want to give my chicks canola or soy.

Go to Scratch and Peck website where they do list ingredients for their feeds. They also state that their products are 100% soy and canola free. You can also call them. I've found them to be very helpful.

Can I use this for quail ?

No. Quail are different. Use a high protein wild fowl feed. Amazon carries a few.
