Heat Storm Mojave Indoor Ultra Lightweight Portable Infrared Space Heater - 1500 Watts - Built in Thermostat & Overheat Sensor - Remote Control

This review is for the model MS-1500-IMO Mojave. Mine is 12x12x16 @ 11#. The bullet points above say it has built-in casters. This heater does not have built-in casters. I bought this heater in Oct. 2015 from Amazon for additional heat in a 17x22 foot room with 10 ft. 6 in. cathedral ceiling which has one 10 ft. and one 6 ft. base-board heaters. In the fall l use it to take the chill off ( no base-board ). In the winter l use both. This heater has a high and low speed fan. Rarely will I use the high setting. On low it is amazingly quite. And on high it is quite while producing much more heat. It also has 2 air filters-- one on each side-- KEEP THEM!CLEAN ! This heater draws a lot of air. All environments are different so take your time setting the thermostat. The remote control is a nice plus and works perfectly. For pet owners ( and parents with children ) This heater is safe. No part of this heater surface - sides - back - top - front ( Excluding the front exhaust area ) get hot or even close to hot. I have two cats. My young one lays in front with paws in contact -- my senior citizen ( 15 yrs. ) stands, sits and lays on The Top of this heater when on. ( was a little concerning then ) This heater also has an aroma feature. My cats excepted it as a warmed up toy ( Parents -- your thoughts ) Needles to say I do not use that feature. ( alternative -- use a cotton ball w/extract -- placed next to the filterss ) Q/A have asked about energy efficiency -- cost -- bills. Hard for Me to speak on this. I've only had This heater for 10 months What I can say is I use this heater in the fall w/o bace-board and in the winter with bace-board and in that short time my electric bill has not increased. I have more heat with no extra cost . In October 2015 I paid $160 for this good design and well-built heater. I LOVE THIS HEATER!!! :D It keeps me warm. It's lightweight & cheap on electric bill. I live in a small 3 room house. Most of the winter, in upstate South Carolina, this is my sole heater. I do wear sweats or long john pants & long sleeve shirts; and use several blankets. I'm cool with that. :D Sometimes when it dips into the teens or 20's, I'll supplement with a small table space heater. It's a great buy! I want to buy a 2nd one for a backup.

Not enough heat for big room

I am using this heater in a 300 sqft insulated workshop. It keeps it at 65 degrees (with the thermostat set at 65) without a problem even with below freezing temperatures outside. However, there is an issue with the controller, after several hours of use, the control panel on the unit is unresponsive to touch. The remote and thermostat continue to operate normally in this state and it maintains the set temperature. A quick power cycle and the unit controller is back to normal.

Works Great 👍😊😀 I thought it was going to be smaller than what it is it's a nice size very powerful quiet two modes.. now because the regular mode I'm guessing sucks a lot of juice it pulls my switch so I have to use the other mode which is the energy saving mode which works great by the way it just makes it blow on low all the time now everything works just fine other than the thermostat it reaches the temperature I set it to and it will go past it.. or it gets stuck at a certain temperature and I have to go past a in order for the thermostat actually start working in register the actual temperature in the room the controller right off the bat one button came off the first time I used it so what I did was hooking it up to a smart plug with Alexa because since the thermostat doesn't want to work it gets too hot can't turn it off with the remote due to the button but it works great with Alexa with a smart plug other than that I am very happy with the heater very powerful I'm just sure this one was defective I actually would buy it again
