Legend has it: Good Luck Comes to All Who Wear Black Hills Gold JewelryThe rich history of Ankle Bracelets dates back to over 4500 years ago when first discovered in Sumerian tombs. Egyptian and Indian women have worn anklets for centuries. The elegant anklet goes with everything, from classic pumps to flip flops. The heart symbolizes an unbreakable connection; it can be romantic love, the love between friends, relatives; there are many different forms of love. Whatever the purpose, it will be appreciated; for the greatest gift one can give is the gift of love.According to legend, French goldsmith, Henri LeBeau got lost in the Black Hills of South Dakota during the 1870s gold rush. He fell asleep believing he was dying. He dreamed he saw a mountain stream with grapevines growing on its banks. He woke and walked over a rise to find the stream and grapevines in his dream. Out of gratitude, dedicated his life and talents to creating jewelry in the shapes of grape clusters and leaves fashioned in rose, green and yellow gold. For an accurate length measure where you want the anklet to rest.Upon ordering, the jewelers in South Dakota start crafting your anklet. From the casting to the hand-placed, hand-engraved leaves, it is one of the most labor intensive styles of jewelry. Today, a series of up to 40 different steps are necessary to capture the same dramatic detail in the traditional and contemporary Black Hills Gold designs. The rising price of gold makes this a great investment.Footnotes:Hand-Crafted Especially for You. Cute but gold will flake pretty soon
It is really cute, however, after about 2 and a half months of wear the gold flakes off, the gold shiny look turns to black and your ankle turns to green/black. For the price I paid, I had better expectations. Should have paid a bit more for all gold. Now this will turn into garbage way too soon.
