This is a solid replacement for a central vacuum that was pre installed for my home
This vacuum came well packaged and included the entire kit to install it to replace my 28 year old Airvac machine. I did have to order 2 of the flexible tubing since the position of the intake and exhaust were different but was able to cut and reuse some of the existing PVC pipe. They also included proper screw anchors for concrete to mount the hanging bracket. It worked immediately with my existing vacuum attachments and has noticeably stronger suction. The unit is much quieter and smaller than the okder one. I had considered getting a professional to replace my current unit but saw that it would be 2x or higher cost. It only took an hour to install it. Most of the time was just rerouting the PVC.

Replaced 45 year old unit
This is a very powerful vacuum. I'm a "do it your self-er" and was sure I could handle replacing our Central Vacuum unit which finally gave up the ghost after 45 years (well done!). We didn't need new accessories or beater heads so this unit made sense at a great price. Read reviews and popped the order. Unit arrived well packaged and damage free. Removed old unit and proceeded to install the OVO. There were no installation instructions. None. There were none on their website either. Our old unit had it's inlet on the side of the canister and the exhaust on the top of the unit. Assuming that all central vacs follow about the same format I proceeded to hook it up. Bad assumption. It was blowing instead of sucking. I had connected the inlet and outlet backwards. Re-plumbed it correctly and fired it up. The machine has a soft start and stop feature so the power fades in rather than receiving full amperage at startup, which saves the motor. Nice feature. The unit is ULTRA QUIET. Our old unit was ridiculously loud. Standing right next to this running unit you could carry on a conversation w/o raising your voice. Quiet good !! Now for the suction. Wholly Crap. Amazing suction. I've never seen anything like it. Compared to a Dyson, well , there is no comparison. It's probably 15 times as powerful as a Dyson or any other regular vac that you can think of. My wife was ecstatic. Once you figure out which tube is an and out, installation is a cinch. Unit is made by nice Canadians who return calls. I wholeheartedly recommend this Central Vacuum.

Very powerful Central Vacuum
I was a little wary making this purchase with only one review. I called the company (based in Quebec, Canada), left a message for them to call me. They called back the next day. They told me they had been making vacuums for “big brands” for 40+ years and recently launched under their own named brand - Ovo. There is a 10 yr warranty on the unit. Ok, I was sold. It arrived in about a week. I was replacing a 20 year old Hayden SuperVac 3600. My house is 4000 sq.ft., so the original vacuum was never strong enough for my house. The unit was very easy to install. The supplied bracket works well. I had to modify the central vacuum PVC tubing since the Ovo has the input on the top of the unit. The new Ovo is rated for up to 7000sq ft. It has extremely strong suction. However, it is very quiet. The central vacuum canister is mounted in the garage - it is very quiet too. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend to friends.

Great Vac
The vac works as described. Much better suction than our 13 year old unit. Relatively easy to install. Wish the mounting bracket had holes in a vertical alignment so you could mount to one stud. Only reason not 5 stars is the grey cap on the top is very uneven. I don't think this is a functional problem but the unit is mounted on the wall near the entrance from the garage to the kitchen and I see it every time I go into the house. I will call them and see if there is a fix or if this will hurt long term. Otherwise, what a great vac. With the old one I could not go in the garage while it was running without earplugs. Now it is so quiet I can work in the garage while it is in use. I will add a pic when I figure out how to!

Tremendous suction
If I had tried it out in a store, I might have picked a lower power model. This one is unbelievably powerful (especially compared to our 40-year old broken one). I think we'll like it. It is hard to appreciate how quiet it runs, because of the powerful whooshing of air being sucked into the hose as you vacuum. Installation was easy. But note the 36" flex hose that Amazon recommended I buy with it, was not ideal. Apparently there is a different flex hose that is Ovo branded and comes in 2 pieces and importantly also includes hose clamps and needed pvc fittings. Save yourself a trip to the hardware store and get THAT flex hose. It was very well packaged. It arrived in a box that was totally beaten-up and taped back together, but the vacuum inside was fine.

Super OVO Central Vac
Bought this complete central vac system from OVO for new lakefront cabin, and installing it was a breeze with the matching install kit. Had a Beam system in last home and this system is more powerful, much, much quieter and a very reasonable price of $837 complete. It is so quiet that the installation in our utility closet cannot be heard in other parts of cabin-the noise of the suction from the hose & handle is louder-awesome. And the support from the company in Quebec, Canada (thank you Catherine Roux) was great-one minor piece failed during install and they shipped replacement immediately, arrived fast and now working. The added bonus is that it is manufactured in Canada, NOT China. Highly recommend for new construction or retrofit of other brands, most of which are made in China. Great product at a great price

OVO you're NOT perfect.
Great Vacuum if works! Had issues with my unit. Called and text EVO numerous times and no resolution. I kept telling them that there was something wrong with the unit - but they insisted it was my installation. Luckily for me; my in-laws had put this same unit in their home. I went and borrowed the unit and WOW it worked just fine. The included paperwork said that it has manufacturer's warranty; BUT they would not take it back and send me another. They insisted that it be returned thru AMAZON. I just sucked it up and bought a new unit and it works just fine. OVO sometimes your equipment is faulty. We are not perfect!

Easy to install as a replacement unit. Plenty of suction and very quiet. Buy the 2 inch flexible rubber pipes as recommended. Canadian made and good quality. I must mention this OVO has great customer service if required.

Bought this to replace a 20 yr old beam after doing quite a bit of research. Suction is much better on this unit than what we had before, and comparable to much more expensive units (you can look up which ones use the same motor). Installation was quite easy and just required a bit of pipe/fittings to hook up the existing piping to the unit (fyi, intake is on the top, exhaust is on the left side of the unit if looking at it from the front). The mounting bracket was really easy to install as was the electrical (plug into wall socket + connect two wires from existing system into the unit). Overall it took around 1 hour to get the old unit out and this one in. Suction is very good, noise level as well (quieter than our old one (edit: A LOT quieter) but a lot more powerful... And our old unit had an external muffler!). Having the suction come on gradually is likely going to make the motor last a bit longer and the extra time it runs after you shut it off (about 3seconds) are nice to make sure the hose is empty of debris. It does take a bit of getting used to as it still runs a bit when you shut it off but i really like the feature. The warranty on this unit is 10 years but 1 year for parts and labour but we got a pamphlet in the box selling an extension on the parts and labour to 10 years for 50$ so that might be worth it for some. The manual does state that the motor will need servicing at 500 hours (typical for these types of vacuums i think) but that should be quite a bit more than 10 years of use. As for the accessory kit (we bought the carpet+deluxe 30ft) it was quite an upgrade from the existing ones we had. The hose is a lot less stiff and allows us to go a bit further than before. It does seem quite resistant though. For those wondering, it is not just and on/off switch on the hose but vacuum/off/vacuum+beater 3-way switch. The accessories are very nice brushes and don't seem too abrasive. Everything clicks or fits in nicely, the suction bypass is well built and out of the way. I was impressed with the build quality. As for the carpet beater it is a Johnny Vac model PN33 (brush on/off foot-button on the beater itself), can be locked at 90 degrees (upright), 6 depth adjustments and has a good range of motion in terms of tilting left/right, forward/back. The only improvement i would like is a better indication of what depth level to use (the descriptions are for level 1 and 6 and quite vague so you kind of guess where it should be). One small detail, i did not receive the accessory bag but i'm not even sure I want/need it so not a big deal for me, i may contact them if i make up my mind. Overall great vacuum/hose/accessory combo, much less expensive than comparable models (and less than half price compared to them with the amazon prime deal!). I even suggested my parents buy the hose/accessory combo to replace their old ones.

Finally installed the unit (renovations take forever), and I am very pleased with it's performance. Seems to be very powerful yet quiet. The 2 second delay on start/stop takes a bit of getting used to, but is actually a very good idea, as it gives the unit time to clear the inlet before shutting down. A couple of dislikes: 1. There is no inlet (for a hose) on the unit itself. I was expecting one and had planned the inlets in my house accordingly. It will be easy enough to add one in the mechanical room with the unit, but it would have been nice to have it already available on the unit itself. 2. The metal extension pieces do not fit together properly. There is a button on the top end that is supposed to click into a hole on the receiving end, but they do not meet up. Consequently the extension pieces do not stay together properly. This is a major flaw. I have not had time to look at how to resolve this problem.

Unit was very well packaged. Amazon box. Product Box with large styrofoam blocks top and bottom as well as in the middle of canister. I had an issue with the upper cover loose and missing screw on vacuum mount which I located in upper canister. Decided to resolve myself and contacted supplier with photos. They responded within two days and were concerned and resolved my concerns. It’s powerful, quiet. I read reviews complaining about no utility outlet. I ordered one. It is available on Amazon and from supplier, OVO Nadair. It is OVO Kit-INSV-01 utility valve kit. Consists of the utility valve port, a wye PVC connector and a length of low voltage wire. Install on top, the suction inlet, with a short stub 2” PVC vacuum pipe to suction inlet and the riser pipe to the system connects on top of Wye. Easy. The low voltage wires are screwed on utility port and clipped into the speaker type spring connectors of side of canister. Unit has soft start run and when hose is removed from vacuum port, the unit will continue to run for a few seconds to allow debris to discharge into the filter. I like the soft start feature. The Center filter bag is quite long. It is washable. The suction port is on top of vacuum and drops into lower canister and terminates in a 90 degree elbow with the tapered, raised, ridged neck sleeve to accept and lock the filter bag flange hole universal to many vacuums. Easy install. You can use the vacuum without the bag but the center, washable filter must be used at all times as the air travels upward , through filter and into the vacuum two stage blades. The upper canister is pressurized by vacuum motor exhaust and blows air out the side port. Inside the upper canister is the vacuum unit suspended by four posts and a rubber grommet with very flexible sealing flange. The inner walls have a foam surround further deadening noise. The control module is nested on one side. It consists of low voltage power supply with run relay, soft start circuitry, time delay circuitry. It is protected by a sheet metal cover that also acts as a heat sink. There is an overload reset button on side of canister and a green run LED. The vacuum motor is 1525 watts. 140” water lift. 700 air watts. It is an Ametek vacuum motor. 5.7” diameter, two stage impellers. On the Nadair website besides vacuum units and accessories were ultra thin LED lamps of many varieties. Amazon sells these as well. Good to know. It’s worth checking it out. Reasonable prices and quite a selection of trims and styles. The low profile will solve many lighting issues people have. Amazon carries quite a selection of OVO Nadair led units. I read all the reviews before my purchase. Customer support is there. They responded to me with care. This has been my experience and that is why I gave five stars despite the issue I had. Communication, reasonable care resolves many issues. Customer support is key to success.
