Works Great!
I bought this figuring it wasn't going to work, but low and behold it works fantastic! Pleasantly surprised! My hunting blind is 500 feet through the woods from the house and this little device has no problem shooting internet all the way out there. I have the sender and receiver on the same circuit per the instructions, and I got the same speed tested at the house and at the blind. It was super simple to hook up and pair, it is truly plug and play. Winner!

It IS able to connect across different breakers in a panel...
...but it also seems to shed speed in doing so.I use this Ethernet over power line setup to share a 300 Mbit Internet connection with a friend in another part of an apartment building. It's an older building where the electrical is shared throughout the building. While we are on the same circuit breaker panel, we are on different breakers, so I had concerns about the feasibility of being able to adequately share the connection. The good news is that it works and she's able to stream video to her hearts delight. However, when I tried sharing my friend's internet connection to my place and doing online gaming through services like Amazon's Luna, the games were largely unplayable due to to SERIOUS lag. When we switched who had the Internet modem though, it turns out we are both happy. Also, using a simple outlet tap that converts a standard two-device outlet into a six-device outlet with no surge protection, has no impact on performance. One gripe I had about the contents of this renewed package is that it came without any Ethernet cables. Not a big deal because I had some spare cables, but it WILL need two Ethernet cables so factor that into the price and or/additional items you will need in order to make this device work for you.Other than that, setup could not be easier. Plug it in to your two locations, hit the sync button on both devices and connect the Ethernet cables from your router/gateway and to your destination device/router on the other end, and you are good to go. No additional configuration through your phone or web page or anything like that(just imagine it's one long Ethernet cable).

Solved my ping issue I had been having on wifi (dropped frames due to RF congestion).
Very reliable signal, impervious to RF interference on wifi bands because it doesn't use wifi. Dropped frames or retransmitted frames cause loss of ping. And you hate that. So get this if you're in a wifi congested space and fuhgetaboutit. Not gigabit but good enough for all your gaming bandwidth and youtube needs. I get roughly 40 MB/s throughput and maybe you're saying "Nate, that's not great" BUT it IS because you're not waiting for your router to rotate to your timeslot. So it's just like an ethernet cable to your router, but lower in bandwidth and just as fast in ping.

Works but depends on home/builing wiring conditions
Works but doesn’t quite provide the the output you would expect. Not sure anybody has the ideal wiring conditions in their building to get full throughput.

DOA!
DOA. Tried every trick I could think of (I even read the instructions!) Wouldn't connect to my existing adapters. Wouldn't connect to each other. Even when plugged into the SAME wall outlet. Returned, bought new, they worked right out of the package. No mess, no fuss. It's not worth the lower price of these over buying new, when you have to screw around with them for a few hours, then package them up and ship them back.

Easy Installation, Fast Speeds
So I moved into an old house with really thick walls, and of course my PC is on the opposite end from the modem/router downstairs. As such, my WiFi connection left a lot to be desired. I looked for different solutions, ran across this and figured it was worth a try. Boy was it. Installation could not possibly be any easier. Ethernet cable from the downstairs modem to one device, plug that device into a wall outlet. Go upstairs, plug the other unit into the nearest wall outlet, then an ethernet cable from it to another router I had, hit the pair button on both devices: we're a go!The speed is amazing and now I have a fresh WiFi source upstairs, as well as the ability to hardwire devices to the router up here. I'd definitely suggest this over a WiFi extender in almost every case, since there are always tricky spots in the air, but your home has electrical cables everywhere.
