PETLIBRO Water Fountain for Cats, 2.5L/84oz, Automatic, WiFi Enabled

Our cat's love the water fountain and it has greatly improved their water consumption. It took a couple of days from them to adjust, but once they did, it was great. We have two cats, so I ordered a second one for another floor in our home.

Wow, so far I love this. I bought on Prime day and already wish I would have bought two. My two mini dachshunds refuse to drink anything but fresh water. I have bought multiple devices over the years but they either leak, are loud, not user friendly, look bad or do not last. The look is perfect and blends in so well without looking like a random bowl. It is literally silent. We keep it in our bedroom and you can not hear a thing. The bowl itself is a plastic material which from a health standpoint I do not love due to it harboring bacteria but the top piece that they drink from is stainless steel. I absolutely love that this connects with wifi and will send notifications to my phone. It tells you when it needs water, cleaned, filter or is knocked off its base. Super easy to assemble and connect. Hopefully it last with time and we have no issues. I will update if anything changes. My pups are 10LBS and 16lbs for reference. This also has an app to monitor everything and set drinking goals. My pups are so picky they tend to not drink water so I’m excited to be able to track them. I even set up how long I would like it to run and how long I would like it to rest. For the price this is very nice and fancy. Way more then you could ever think to want in a bowl. I solely bought this based on look and fresh running water.

The overall concept of the fountain is good, it's just that the whole product should be stainless steel. My cat got chin acne because of the plastic nozzle. Not recommended.

Whatever team that designed this should get an award. This is magical. I have two cats who share this fountain. One likes water, the other does not. This fountain measures how much the cats drink, and while I don’t know how much each cat drinks, I can keep an eye out for the total amount they had each day and take a closer look if the amount fluctuates by a lot. Since what I am paying attention to is the trend, I don’t care about the amount of water evaporating, which should be constant. The true genius of this fountain is, as others have mentioned, that the motor charges wirelessly. This is the second fountain I had to buy due to the motor dying out, and I am sure it will be the last. For some reason, I have confidence that the wireless charging gives it a longer motor life. Speaking of motors, this thing is silent. I was honestly hoping to get some running water background sound out of it, but I don’t hear it at all. Maybe if I’m in the same room and listening for it. I also love that the top of the fountain is stainless steel, making it much easier to clean. That said, you have to open every part and wash every crevice each time you clean it. The biofilm does build up in just a few days. The company recommends that you clean it weekly, but I clean it twice a week. Maybe you can get by with weekly cleans if you have just one cat, but with two cats, that gets gross. I also think that the cats drink more with the water constantly running. I still keep a bowl upstairs, but they have been drinking out of it less compared to the time prior to the purchase, when there was a bowl on each floor. Suffice to say that I am very happy with this purchase and product. I would love it even more if they could track water consumption by cat using microchips or face recognition, but that’s a future feature to consider.
