Made myself a HotTub setup and man this thing did not disappoint!!

Works great easy to install. last about a year or 2 but that's all I've gotten out of any heater.

Only lasted 3 months and no longer working.

Good product!! So far about 40 minutes to heat up our stock tank that holds 400 gallons. Seemed to do what the site says.

This suits Whirlpool bathtubs and small hot tubs under 400 gallons. I like the 1.5 inch SCH40 PVC inlet and outlet, which keep flow steady if the loop stays 1.5 inch. The thermostat knob sets 0 to 45 C and holds temperature without constant tweaking. It runs 110V at 2 kW and must connect to a 25 amp GFCI. A 0.5 HP or stronger circulation pump is required, booster or submersible pumps are not. Starting with warm water and using an insulation cover speeds heat up.

I retro fitted this into an old 4-5 person tub and the install went well. The unit heats properly and the controls function as they should. I had to be creative fitting it up as this was a retro job but all is leak-free.

As a flow type water heater it works well. As a thermostat controlled water heater it is junk. The thermostat went out a couple weeks after I installed it. I bypassed the thermostat and manage the on/off with automation. The flow detection works well, the heater is on when my spa pump is on, which is fine for me. The thermostat on this flow heater is rated at 15amps(internal label), yet the heater element takes about 20 amps. As you can guess, it won’t last long, as others here reported, reliability is poor. You can find this same device on EBAY for $35 so I guess someone is dumping them. I took it apart to figure out how it works since the warranty is like 30 days.
