Perfect mix of ceramides, shea, and antioxidants
I was looking for a daily body moisturizer with shea butter and ceramides. I tried CeraVa first, but it caused my skin to itch in some places, similar to what happens when I was sweating. Then I tried La Roche, which has the added benefits of antioxidants. I can apply this in the morning and have smooth and soft skin the next day. It doesn't feel heavy so long as I spread it thinly, and it works as a great final step to seal in the moisture from toners and serums. There's no irritation, and the bottle lasts a very long time for the price. Overall, perfect daily lotion for me. Will keep using.

The best for atopic skin
This Lipikar balm is truly the best for atopic skin. My daughter has had atopic dermatitis since infancy, and this is the only product that keeps her symptoms under control. The texture is light yet effective, absorbs easily, and provides long-lasting relief. It has a pleasant, mild scent and is gentle enough for even the youngest children. The quality is excellent, and a little goes a long way, making it very economical despite the higher price. For anyone dealing with sensitive or atopic skin, this balm is absolutely worth it — highly recommended!

My skin had never looked better! I am shocked at how much I Love this!
Im 40 with super sensative, hormonal acne ridden skin. I also just lost 80 lbs and this stuff helped my skin bouce back beautifully. Litterally anything breaks me out. I need a better moisturizer in the cold months to prevent super dry skin espexially on my cheeks and mouth area. I had great success with Bare Minerals but they eventually discontinued the wash and moisturizer I liked best from them, which led me to this. Now ill start by saying it has no scent. Maybe the Niacinimide does slightly but it goes away quickly. Not a deal breaker! Its also very thick, also not a huge issue, which I have a great tip for below. When I saw "face and body" I truly thought no way. No way is that good for anyone, especially me with my issues. Well I was so wrong. 3 weeks in and my acne actually healed on my face and back. I'm shocked. It also has made my skin SO HEALTHY, Glowy and smooth. My skin is so visibly hydrated and not at all sticky. THATS WHAT WE ARE ALL LOOKING FOR. I want to let everyone in on a little trick I've found. If you mist filtered water onto any area you are applying lotion to, prior to applying it, not only does it stretch your product way further, but it helps your skin retain good water with the product in the top layers of your skin. Or apply it to damp skin straight out of the shower. I've found that it helps me reduce all sensative skin issues just by adding a spritz of water, and rubbing it into the area fully until absorbed. I will definitely be purchasing this again. I think this might be my forever lotion.

Best face and body lotion HANDS DOWN!
This lotion is AMAZING. Extremely hydrating but NOT greasy, it absorbs well into the skin and leave a silky smooth finish on the skin. I’ve tested the moisturizing claims of up to 48 hours and can confirm this will hydrate the skin for 48+ hours. I am now buying 2 bottles every few weeks as I apply this EVERYDAY.

Great All-Over Moisturizer for Accutane Users — But Pricey for the Size
I picked up La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+ Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream largely because Accutane turned my skin into Sahara Desert levels of dryness — not just on my face but all over my body. I needed something that could handle both sensitive facial skin and body dryness without irritation, and this has genuinely been one of the best all-around lotions I’ve found. First off: the texture is thick and rich without feeling greasy. It glides on easily, absorbs in a way that actually feels like it’s repairing the skin, and provides lasting hydration throughout the day. On my face, it’s heavier than a typical lotion but not as occlusive or pore-clogging as some balms — a balance I haven’t consistently found in other products. On my body (especially elbows, knees, and forearms), it noticeably softens rough patches and reduces that tight, itchy feeling that so many moisturizers just don’t fully address. A few things stand out that make this worth recommending: Shea Butter + Niacinamide: The shea butter gives real, nourishing moisture, and the niacinamide helps soothe sensitivity without stinging. For someone on Accutane, this combination feels genuinely calming. Sensitive-Skin Friendly: Fragrance-free and gentle, it hasn’t caused any flare-ups or irritation — which is huge because my skin is very reactive right now. Face & Body Use: I like that I don’t have to juggle a separate face cream and body lotion; I can keep this at my desk, in my bathroom, and on my nightstand. That said, there are a couple of caveats worth calling out, especially if you’re considering this for everyday use: Price vs. Size: At over $20 for 400 ml, it’s on the pricier side for what you’re getting. I absolutely think the quality and performance justify the cost for someone with really dry or sensitive skin, but if you’re only mildly dry or on a budget, you might find similar hydration from cheaper generics. Thickness: Because it’s a richer cream, it can feel heavy in hot or humid weather — not a deal-breaker, but something to be aware of if you prefer lightweight lotions. How I use it (and why it works well): Morning & Night: I apply a thin layer to my face after cleansing, and a generous layer on my body right after showering while skin is still slightly damp. Layering Strategy: On really dry nights, I’ll follow with a lighter occlusive (like Vaseline) in just the driest spots — the Lipikar cream acts like a deeply nourishing base that really enhances the seal. Anywhere Skin Feels Stressed: It’s become my go-to for irritated patches, rough arms, flaky legs, and as a post-shave balm too. Overall, this isn’t just another lotion — it’s genuinely improved how my skin feels on Accutane. The cost per ounce is higher than drugstore alternatives, but the noticeable difference in moisture, soothing ability, and versatility makes it a product I’ve repurchased and will continue to reach for as long as my skin demands deeper hydration. Highly recommend if you want a no-nonsense, effective, sensitive-skin moisturizer and aren’t turned off by the price tag.

Really helped my baby's eczema!
This lotion has been SO helpful for my son's skin. He battled eczema starting at 2 months old and we tried every lotion under the sun - Aveeno, Cetaphil, CereVe, Mustela, beef tallow, olive oil, coconut oil, Shea butter, and more! I finally as a last ditch effort ordered this lotion and saw a change in his skin within a few days to a week. I think it must be the thermal water they use! It does burn on open cuts (that I've personally experienced from cuts on my hands when I apply it) but my son seemed to handle it okay on most of his eczema. His skin is pretty much completely normal now after months and months of battling the eczema. We did also find food allergies and I changed things in both of our diets, but this lotion really seemed to help get us out of the constant flare up cycle. I really believe which lotion will work just depends on your kids skin but I think it's worth a shot if you're looking for one for your baby with eczema. It is a thicker lotion, but not crazy heavy. It absorbs great and is not greasy or oily. It makes his skin so so soft! My only complaint is that you can't get all the lotion out of the bottle so it feels like a lot is wasted. It also is just super expensive and we fly through it, so I wish it was more affordable. But the results have been worth the cost!

The best!!!
Happy recipient!! The best I’ve found so far. Moisturizing but no greasy feel, absorbs well and feels amazing. No more flaky winter skin. Would definitely recommend, based on my experience. I use only on the body. La Rouche also has a fabulous product for the face, also wonderful! Love the lightweight feel

Too expensive.
Is this the best lotion, or what? I love it. What i do not love is the ever rising price. Also, the pump is going to give out on you before you get go the bottom of the bottle. So be prepared to be shaking globs of this out of the bottle while holding the pump stem. Still a sexier product than Cereve. There are no peptides or other real actives besides hyaluronic acid. I use it for the Cereminde Np. It has shea butter in it, which works as an occulsive of storts. Its not bad, but there are alternatives that are less expensive & do the same thing. When they created Lupikar AP, they were really trying to be like Embroylese Creme Lait, but it didnt quite get there. They need to come back down to earth with that MSRP. Its tone deaf. Its a good amount & an excellent product but the industry has changed. Its not exactly a "break-the-internet formulation". However, if you want something that is good, safe for sensitive skin then go for it. Anything beats dipping your hands into a tub of CeraVe.
