Good cherry veneer for the price, but probably not the best available. I bought some cherry veneer 20 years ago that was better, but I have no current others to compare with. This one had a few very small knots which were not a big problem for me since I was putting dark stain on the doors I applied this veneer to. It was easy to apply with contact adhesive and looks good. I did have a little problem with light sanding with an orbital sander prior to staining. The grain didn't seem to let me get a finish as smooth as I would have preferred. It felt smooth one direction, but not the other, sort of like the whiskers on a guy's face. So, I needed to stain, varnish, sand lightly, and then do a second coat of varnish. But after that, it was fine, and I have no way to know if a veneer that cost twice as much or more would have been any better.
