Bredemeijer 2-Piece Drop-Catcher, Stainless Steel, Silver, 2.5 x 3 x 5 cm

I have a terrible tea pot that I bought about 2 years ago, and despite various attempts, it is unusable because it pours so badly... There simply was no way to tip it over without spilling at least a few drops...or in the worst case, creating a whole puddle of tea on the table. I bought these 'drop catchers' in a final attempt to fix it, before I actually got rid of the tea pot. To be honest, I wasn't expecting a miracle, but to my utter shock, they do work..!!! This tea pot has now been saved, it does not spill even a drop, with one of these tiny umbrellas installed...!It took a bit of messing around, and I discovered that for my particular teapot, the spout was to small to allow the drop catcher to be installed 'from the outside'. I had to insert it from inside the teapot, and push it out the spout from the interior, if that makes sense. Then, what worked best for me was to keep the metal filaments mostly inside the spout, and allow only the very tips to be showing from the outside. I then bent over the main 'umbrella leg' downward a bit more (they are quite pliable, by the way!). And voila! Drip-free pouring! Almost still can't believe it.

Works with the 900 ml 4 cup range from London pottery. Doesn't fit 2 cup. Not as effective as a fine mesh, small bits of leaves come through but big improvement on the internal ceramic filter of the 900ml teapot which is pretty useless.

Works light a charm!!!! We had a clunky old teapot which kept leaking tea everywhere. This tiny contraption fixed the spillage. Highly highly recommend!!!

I just cannot find a tea pot that does not drip all over the place. Used a small version of this spout strainer but lost it somehow.I came across this and ourchased. The only thing is it is Large, contacted the supplier and they don't make them any smaller.Great for my large tea pot spout and stops any dribbling, however, for a 'two'cup smaller teapot it is too large for the spout.Overall very pleased with it, just wish that I could find a small one.
