I like to use this at the entry points to kill anything that decides to walk in. Does the job well. Compared to the mix and spray stuff, this is more kill-barrier rather than something that gets carried back to the source. IE, any insect that walks through this will be incapacitated within 5 minutes, and dead within 20. The mix and spray, more like 20m incapacitated and dead in an hour. That said, mix I will use the lower ratio formula because I want it to get back to the source; the higher is recommended for bedbugs (they don't travel as far) - that said, I have not used either with bedbugs (used diatomaceous earth instead) This can is unique that it's a filled bag inside a pressure canister, so the propellant and the product do not mix, and when it's empty it is EMPTY...it also works at all angles and sprays a nice predictive stream

I ordered this product out of desperation, after three treatments for bedbugs by professional exterminators. The exterminators treated our whole home each time, and the preparation that we were required to do before they came included washing and drying every item of clothing, bedding, towels, stuffed animals, etc., that we owned, sealing it all up in plastic bags, removing all of the outlet covers, covering or removing exposed food items and dishes, and moving all of our furniture away from the walls. It was a very time-consuming process, and we had to leave for eight hours each time as well. By the third treatment, we were having bug problems in only one bedroom, but the exterminators insisted that they had to treat the whole home again anyway. After the third treatment, we continued to see live bedbugs in that one room, but our landlord denied that we even had a bedbug problem despite the evidence that I pointed out to them, including bedbug specimens that we collected in a jar. They finally sent someone out to inspect every unit in our apartment complex, but beyond that they never did anything more. So, desperate to find a solution to our bedbug problem, I ordered this spray to treat the bedroom myself. It was very easy to apply. The applicator straw worked well. I sprayed the baseboards and the edges of the carpet around the whole perimeter of the room and around the bases of all the furniture in the room. It is a small room, so I needed only two cans. Then I did a second treatment about a week later and finally a third treatment two weeks after the second. After the second treatment, I was pretty sure the bugs were completely gone, but the third treatment was just a precaution. There is supposed to be a residual effect for several months. Now, almost three months later, we have had no further trouble with bedbugs. I highly recommend this product. It was much cheaper and easier and more effective than what the exterminators did for us.

Being from a large, international company like Bayer, the pesticide is probably effective. Unfortunately, the spray can it ships in is not. I ordered and received two cans which both exhibited the same defect: The spray valve is black plastic and inserted in that is a white plastic spray nozzle. With the nozzle, the can sprays a mist as expected. But after a few seconds of spraying, the white nozzle blows out. The mist becomes a stream that drenches your target and empties an expensive can in seconds. Further, the red plastic tube meant for crevice spraying requires the white plastic insert - if you don't have the insert, you can crevice spray. Both cans I ordered failed in the same manner. It may just be a bad batch, but it renders the product barely usable. I would not order this product again due to the spray can defect. I would instead probably buy the regular Temprid concentrate, dilute with water and apply in a pump sprayer. The spray cans I received were close to worthless.

This product is not meant to be a standalone bedbug treatment. You need to use crossfire concentrate, mixed with Gentrol if you are trying to do a standalone bedbug treatment, this product is great for general treatments. Do not use this as a standalone ant treatment for an ant treatment you need to use ant bait with no liquid the ant bait you would use would be maxforce fleet if you need any other suggestions, I own a pest company.

Unfortunately the spray nozzle on this didn't last for 10% of the can. It clogged up after about 15 minutes of sporadic spraying. I can't speak to how effective this is at the moment because I'm using this as a "touch-up". I do know the concentrated version of this I used in the past was highly effective so I'm assuming this would have been just as good. I still have a full can I can't utilize at the moment but I'm going to see if I can unclog it somehow. 4 stars for perceived ease of used and projected effectiveness.
