Heavy Duty Trauma Shears
I wanna address the pants issue that people are having; watch the video, you probably just have a different style than other people that are leaving the “they don’t fit” reviews. At first glance, these things are the real deal. I’ve personally been waiting for a reason to get my hands on them and I eventually ran into an ER nurse that had a pair. Seeing them in person and watching them cut smoothly finally sold me. Are these worth $40? Yes. If you work in the medical field / EMS, doubly so. Usually I carry 2 pair of shears in case one decides to break down on me but after grabbing these I can free up some space lol. I hate to say I want to use them on a call myself but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to break them in. They’re THICCC shears; I’d say you could melt down almost 3 disposable shears and melt them down into how thick the blades are. They can pass the ‘penny test’ which is pretty dope. I’m not gonna go out of my way to cut a penny but knowing that someone else has in their review is cool. The grips are very nice. Since they’re a soft rubber on the handles, there’s no room for error with regards to how disposables have the stamped plastic that’s usually sharp or not filed down. Gloves won’t snag on these handles. The blades are pretty slick. I like the flat smooth tips compare to how the disposables have that weird kinda flat notch on one blade. Do they fit in EMS pants? Depends on the pants. The video I uploaded covers what 5.11 sells so make your own judgement there. I recommend these. I will use these until they break and I don’t see that happening for a hot minute. Eventually I’ll upload an edit to this review after I’ve spent more time with them and have them worn in pretty well. Also, I am an EMT for reference incase that helps. *EDIT* ONE MONTH POST PURCHASE: Alright so recently I had a trauma call for a woman with a broken hip. If you are in the medical field you know that rule number one with trauma is to get'em naked so I finally flexed these bad boys. These shears are DEFINITELY the real deal. I was able to smooth right through a pair of jeans from the ankle to the waist as well as a belt that overlapped on itself (1cm thick of leather) with extreme ease. Above in this review I mentioned that they were a little stiff to operate initially BUT when you are going through the paces and in the heat of the moment, you don't even notice. I've cut through nasal cannula tubing, now jeans with a belt, and other miscellaneous things during the month I've owned them and I don't think I could recommend these enough. 100% worth the buy and I may even mess around and buy another set in blue. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend. *EDIT: THREE MONTHS LATER* So I want to address the pants issue what I spoke about with the shears initially. I ended up making the shears fit PERFECTLY when I put the blade into the pen holder and use the Velcro latch on my pats to go through the handle. By sacrificing the pen slot on my cargo pocket, it completely eliminated the pulling and stretching on the tab. This worked for both pants. Just make sure you feed the Velcro tab through the small handle on the shears and guide the blades into the pen pocket. As far as quality goes, the xShears are still kicking major butt. At this point I’ve cut through boots, belts, heavy denim, thick leather (the belt from the above review and some more) and they are still brand new. I’m beyond satisfied with this purchase and I’ll be buying another one for my partner as a Christmas gift. 10/10, no regrets. EDIT: One Year Later - Last review Still in EMS and I’ve used them at least once for the past 365 days. Still amazingly sharp like the day I got’em and are apart of my EDC. You can cut from the ankle to the neck of someone in about 15 seconds if your hand doesn’t cramp; I’ve done it with them. At this point, it’s knowing that I have reliability on my leg when I’m in the crap of calls. If you’ve read this far, just get’em dude.

Fantastic Shears
I recently purchased my second pair of xShears, and I have to say, I’m just as impressed as I was with my first pair! The main reason I ordered this new pair? I couldn’t resist the awesome color options—purely a style choice! My original pair, which I’ve had for about five years, is still going strong. They’re as sharp and functional as the day I got them, even after putting them through the wringer cutting through Sam splints, zippers, and tough clothing. There are a few minor nicks in the blade from heavy use, but they still cut like a dream. I’m blown away by how lightweight yet incredibly durable these shears are. Thank you, xShears, for making such a reliable, high-quality product that holds up year after year! Highly recommend to anyone needing a dependable pair of shears.

Great cutting power
Best scissors I’ve owned, worth the cost. Hope they hold up! I’ve been using them to cut 1-2 inch upholstery foam and they glide through it like butter. Extremely good for crafting and safer than other options I’ve tried.

Best shears on the market
These shears are fantastic, I gave this set as a gift but I have my own pair as well as the plastic holster for your belt. Better than RAPTORS any day. Tougher, stronger, cut through anything and you don’t have to look like a noob unfolding your little scissors 😂 I’m a paramedic and have used these to cut through clothes (obvi), barbed wire fencing, heavy winter coats, seat belts and air bags alike without any difficulty whatsoever! I love love love them

Easily the Best Quality and Cut
I've been carrying X-Shears since they were originally launched and love these shears. Without any doubt, the best quality and best cutting shears you'll find. They're heavy, with thick blades, and incredibly sharp. The handles fit nicely in your hand, and it takes minimal effort to cut. I frequently get complements and comments of amazement from coworkers who want to try them. (Word of caution - Be very careful who you hand your X-Shears to, because my first set grew legs and never came home.) They make clothing removal incredibly easy and fast (we all know how impatient us EMTs/Medics/Firefighters get). I especially enjoy cutting shirts, because I've found that while I have to cut the length of the shirt with cheap shears (snip-snip-snip....), with the X-Shear I can bunch the shirt up in my hand and make one single snip through the bunched up shirt, cutting it all at once. Easier and faster is always a win. Jeans, leather, thick canvas... no challenge to these shears. The main negative for me - Because of the shape, I find that I can't get these into the outside pouch (with the loop strap) on my 5.11 Duty Pants. I carried plain shears there for years and was used to that spot, but these don't seat quite deep enough and the strap won't loop through the handle. So, I carry these inside the cargo pocket instead, but that does risk putting a dirty hand inside the pocket. This slight inconvenience in carrying is the reason for losing 1 star - Otherwise they'd be a perfect 5. Also, be mindful that these will be very popular and might wander if you let someone use them. I'm on my second set (after replacing the first set that wandered), and I've also purchased (these) pink ones for my girlfriend. I don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks. Yes, your employer may provide the cheap ones to you or you get some free at a class, but you know what? Sometimes it's worth paying a bit to have the right tool for the job.

Great trauma shears
I use the XShear 7.5” Extreme Duty Trauma Shears almost every day in the emergency department, and they perform flawlessly. They are extremely well-made, durable, and built to handle any cutting task I throw at them. fit perfectly to my hand. Simple to open. sleek and portable. This is actually my second pair, which says a lot about how much I rely on them. Compared to every other pair of shears I’ve used, these are far superior—stronger, sharper, and more reliable. Whether I’m cutting through clothing, bandages, or equipment, they never let me down. For anyone in a high-demand medical or emergency setting, these shears are absolutely worth it. Period.
