I prefer this to a traditional ladle. The square shape is also very helpful with accurate pouring and for canning. I saw Martha use it on her shows and wanted it. I usually get oxo for kitchen utensils, this is superior. This is an excellent product.

Clunky to use and does not work on hard ice cream

The tool I never knew I needed. It makes skimming fat or bubbles on canning jams a breeze. It also can be used as a gravy ladle or for adding broth from a jar to a soup pot. I love it!

It's nice but it's flimsy and I wish the handle was longer. But I really like the size.
