Q: how many cups of rice in 2.2lb package?

The 2.2 lb (1 kilo) actually gets packaged as 2 ea. 500g (1.1 lb.) bags, sort of a floursack-type fabric, sort of rustic, but enclosed in a plastic outer wrap for shipping. In 1 of the 500g bags I got about 2 to 2 1/4 cups of rice -- I didn't measure it precisely because I was making paella and a few extra grains of rice won't matter. But it is very close to that -- you'll get at least 2 cups per cloth bag (4 cups from the full 1 kilo package) and a bit more, maybe 1/2 c.

Q: What’s the difference between Bomba and paella rice?

In my experience, they are essentially one and the same. Both short white rice used for the same. Both are Valencia rice used for paella 🥘.
