Q: How does the battery life compare to the stock/authentic Dell battery?

Seemed the same to me. It is a Dell battery. But nothing I ever measured or thought a lot about 🙂

Q: Is this a Dell original battery as the picture shows?

I can't remember for 100% certain, but I think the two I got did have the Dell log on them. In any case, they fit perfectly into the to XPS-13 laptops I have, and they have worked perfectly for several months so far. Battery life returned to about what I had when the machines were new. These are correct and solid.

Try removing the BIOS battery. Reboots EVERYTHING in the XPS.

This is my 3rd XPS battery. It worked fine for me, bettery than the brand x I bought last time. Try reseating the battery connect cable. Make sure you didn't short anything out on the MB - there is a metal heat sink about 2" long that was loose in my XPS. I glued and taped it. Try a different charger. Try reinstalling your old battery to see if it charges. If it does, new battery is defective.
