Awesome blade
Love Reat wish they had more swords

This is ok, looks nice but seems a bit too light for real use.
I have an extensive collection of all sorts of blades, and this one looks nice, but after a good examination I'm not sure I'd bring it out with me into the woods. I think the gap in the blade edge geometry just makes this feel really light duty, as in it doesn't have much weight to it. The edge looks pretty good, and it does feel fairly solid overall being a single piece of steel and therefore full tang by default, but kind of feels like the design was way more orientated on looks rather than functionality. This would certainly work for light duty tasks like clearing brush or green vegetation, but if you're intending for something able to do some light chopping this really just doesn't have the weight for it. The case for the most part is really nice, but they really bungled on the snaps which feel kind of cheap and also the straps holding the snaps are really thin and don't feel very secure. If you want this mostly for looks/display there's no harm in getting it, but if you're looking for something to use even occasionally I think you'd be much better served with a classic style sheet metal machete and it'll likely be cheaper as well even if they do look boring.
