I bought two of these to put one of each of the colors I own in them so I don't have to squeeze out a color when I only need to use it for one painting. The lids on both are easy to open. They are the perfect size. I love that the pans come out so I could change the arrangement when I get new colors. This is a great price for these little tins. I will by more if the need arises. Currently I have three empty pans over the two boxes. Highly recommend.

I think I read every single review on this product. I was actually hesitant as to whether or not it would be useful to me. Come to find out, it's perfect! I used the magnetic strips to hold the individual cups down. My set lays flat on my desk, so they do not fall out, due to magnet weakness. I can certainly understand how they could fall out if you move the tin from one place to another, including traveling with it. The individual cups do move around a bit but I haven't found that it has been an issue at all. I did to a color chart to assure the order of the colors, should one or more come out. When I need to replace specific paint colors, I only take out one cup at a time. When I spray the pallet with water, I do take care to wipe off any excess water off the tin. I don't know that I read anything about rust, but I feel it's better to be safe than sorry. I would definitely purchase another one of these tins, when I need to add more colors from tubes. A great buy for me!

I got this set to depot my nail art gels into an easier palette set up. This worked great! It has so much room and the cases are really beautiful. It’s a nice size as well. The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the magnet adhesive not being strong enough. I ended up using glue dots to get them to stick and that’s working well. I still Recommend these palettes!

Perfect as advertised small and metal lid closes airtight. Magnetic strip easy to apply to each pan. Great price. Recommend it very highly. Would even like to see same design in larger set of 60 -100 to fill in with gouache and WC paints in one place

I dithered about getting one of these tins for months. It seemed unnecessary, but when I paint, I tend to gather all of the color I think I'm going to use, then when I'm done I have to figure out where they go again. I finally ordered, and I'm so glad I did! I chose this waterlilies pattern to remind me the blues and greens will be stored in there. I was also planning on putting purples in there, too. When I got it, I was unbelievably pleasantly surprised that the back was purple with pink waterlilies! It's so beautiful, so now the pinks will go in here, too, making up my standard go-to palette. And I'm going to smile each time I reach for my paints just looking at the tin. There is no hinge to the case, but that's fine. With the magnets I can split the paints out if needed and just use either the top or the bottom when painting. The bottom is much taller than the top, and the top fits on really well. You won't have to worry about the tin opening up and clattering around if you're clumsy like I am. The magnets are adhesive, but the adhesive isn't terribly strong. Perhaps that's why they included glue points. A hit of white glue would probably also work well. I'm planning on mainly using this tin for paints I already have, but I'm excited at having so many pans I can mix paint into!

I ordered three of these pans: a black, a wood grain, and this marble tone. The first two were great - the marble pan not so much. The magnetic pieces did not stick to the plastic wells and that won’t do for holding paint. I had to glue the magnets to the bottom of the wells. Except for this, the pans are great. They are not bulky taking up a lot of space and the magnets stick well to the pan bottoms but because the inside of the lids are not white, I use a separate mixing tray. Except for the marble tray I am pleased with these. If I add a new color, I can move the wells around and just adjust the color map I carry along with them.

It's really cute and slim. Also mine came with an extra pan and some spare magnets too I assume for if you buy paints somewhere else and you can stick them in with it :) I like it a lot

Bought for watercolor painting, my Windsor and Newton paints are now in the pans I fixed up and I'm waiting for them all to complete drying so I can use them.
