Great Flavorless Thickener
This is definitely an excellent product. I usually use a cornstarch slurry and this Ultra-tex 8 proves to be a flavorless and superior thickening agent. I've experimented with using it in creating fruit gels and savory sauces.

Thickens extremely well!
I have been working to recreate a specific grocery store pie mix that is difficult to obtain inside the US. This was precisely the ingredient that I needed. The recommendations to mix using an immersion blender are not an exaggeration. I was briefly able to use a heavy gauge French whisk but it quickly got too thick go mix easily by hand. I will likely be ordering more!

Doesn’t disperse very well in liquids it cakes up and had to beat with whisk tremendously. Not worth the cost
