i love this sunflower butter!
minimal ingredients and no added sugar! i use it for baking or on my toast w honey and cinnamon!! has a great spreadable texture and doesn’t need to be refrigerated! it will turn a greenish color if left out open a while, like leftovers on a spoon or measuring cup, which is normal. sunflowers have a lot of chlorophyll in them so that’s why it may turn green, or it might turn green during baking and you might end up with green muffins. haha!

Delish!
I bought for first time and the texture is a bit runny but if you store it in the fridge it becomes thicker. I like it either way. Its very good and even my sweets loving daughter loves it.

Not a peanut butter replacement.
I’ll start out by saying that I mistakenly thought this would be a replacement for peanut butter for being around those with nut allergies. Though you may use sunflower butter in the same scenarios as peanut butter, they’re very different. It turns out that sunflower butter is a very different flavor and texture and really changes how one may use it. I would say that for those who like to eat spoonfuls of peanut butter right out of the jar, prolly don’t do that with sunflower butter. Without being on anything, sunflower butter tends to leave a film inside the mouth which some may find unpleasant.Where I really like sunflower butter is dipping fruit which has just a bit of tartness to it and PB&J with preserves that have just a bit of tartness. The sweetness of the sunflower butter is a nice contrast to the tartness of the fruit. Also that slight acidity seems to keep the butter from forming a film.I would not use this to just but on bread or crackers alone. The film is an issue and the flavor of the sunflower butter just gets lost.I would encourage people to try sunflower butter, but be prepared to use it in a bit of a different way than peanut butter.

Not my favorite
I ordered two flavors of this sunflower seed butter because I'm allergic to peanuts. I was disappointed with the bitter taste and gritty consistency. I'm using it because it's too expensive not to...I'm mixing raw honey and maple syrup with it to try to smooth it out. I prefer "Once Again" brand and will not buy this brand again.

A breakfast staple for my toddler on schooldays
I have, what one might call, a spirited child. But he eats organic multigrain bread if I slather some of this on there and actually leaves for school on time (most days) with a full tummy. Yes, it's chocolate and sure, there's some sugar. But compared to Nutella or other options, this doesn't include some of the nasty ingredients (including unsustainable palm oil) and tastes really great.I also buy the Vanilla-Cinnamon kind to put in his lunchbox as a sandwich cut into pieces. It tastes like Snickerdoodle butter, if such a thing existed! It's so good. And again, he eats it on whole grain organic bread so it seems like it balances out. Being nut-free is also great for his nut-free school.

Look at the ingredients/horrible taste
The media could not be loaded. I wish i had looked at the ingredients list. It does list the ingredients, I was just in a hurry. I don’t normally buy things with added sugar or added salt- even if its sea salt. Its still added salt. It also had maple sugar.I did taste it anyway; just to see if it was overly sweet. Its not overly sweet, but it tastes gross. Plus. Why is it so brown and muddy looking? I have sunflower seeds, i guess they are a brownish, but not like that. It has to be the brown sugar making it look like that.Anyway. The color is what it is, even if it looks bad. The real problem is that it tastes gross and it’s wicked soupy. Its already made with sunflowers, then they added sunflower oil on top of it. So. The added oil plus maple sugar and added salt make this a no go. Since there are only 4 ingredients, the added 3 ingredients have messed up the product. When I peanut butter. The list of ingredients says: peanuts. It tastes like peanuts.I don’t even know how to describe the taste of this sunflower seed butter, but it’s definitely not sunflower. I opened the jar to do the video and now my hand is all oily because of this garbage. It’s more like a beverage than something that is meant to be more thick. This is like eating margarine instead of butter. Don’t eat this.

Tastes like brownie sunflower butter!
We love this sun flower butter! My child’s classroom is nutfree & this is the only sunflower butter she will eat. It still has that sunflower butter taste but the cocoa flavor is very present with a good balance of sweetness. And there’s only 5g of sugar per serving! (Which is better than other dark chocolate sunflower butters we’ve tried). The texture is not clumpy and easy to spread but also not oily like some that kind of drip off the bread. I find myself eating spoonfuls as it’s so good & reminds me of brownie batter
