Affordable Architecture: Great Houses on a Budget Hardcover – July 16, 2010

Low quality photos (or printing), homes were a let down. NO REAL DETAILS OF COST SAVINGS.

What I consider affordable and what the author considers affordable is like comparing an apple to an orange. If you have any clue what materials cost to build a home you will quickly realize you may also differ from the author. I will say I do like this book, but I do think affordable and budget is a slight play on words.

A very attractive book and a good concept but the "budget" that the authors are talking about is far and away out of the range I was looking for. The references are worth the price of the book.

Good reference book however great for idea for new construction or remodeling projects in small-medium homes. Suggest you read full review before purchase though.

Bright Pages, combined with amazing Printing have made this a staples book our living room table for the past year.

Almost all of the houses in this book are in Australia, many in a country / suburban setting, and many in a modern style that would never be allowed here is the UK. The text was quite dull and unengaging, no real discussion of clever features, smart ideas, the construction or ideas to take on to other projects. Disappointing.
