not fatty but too sweet

My husband loves this honey mustard dressing & it's great that it's made with good stuff (I guess that's subjective based on your way of eating/diet,but we're essentially paleo/primal in our eating style). However, I've had a problem with this brand in general as for whatever reason I find things made with the avocado oil to have a funny off-taste (and I LOVE avocado's, so it's not because I have an avo issue). This has that same off taste that I don't care for but not as much as their mayo (I can't eat that at all). However, for me this dressing is too sweet. I tend to find most commercial products are over sweetened for my tastes, so likely it's just me. However, if, like me, you're not a fan of heavily sweetened things than this dressing might not be for you.

This is perfect for marinating chicken overnight. All my kids love it.

The actual flavor of this dressing is good. However, I found it really hard to ever get the dressing mixed up enough to get the honey mustard taste. Most of the time, all I got was the oil with a very tiny bit of the dressing. I really wanted to like this salad dressing, but it was too much of a hassle, and I never got the hang on how to mix it up well even when I poured a reasonable amount in a bowl first and tried hand mixing it.

This is probably my favorite healthy dressing on the market... so much so, I've spent hundreds on dollars on it. It's not as creamy as regular (full fat+calorie) honey mustard dressing - it's more like a vinaigrette but honestly it's a welcomed difference because the taste is so good. In the interest of being transparent, my last two orders consisted of old product. One order expired a month from the purchase date (a problem because I purchased 4 bottles). The next order had expired 7 months prior. I contacted Primal Kitchen and they're replacing all of the expired product and profusely apologized. So not only is the product amazing, customer service is even better. My only word of advice to people purchasing this is check the expiration dates.
