HHO Torch Set 01

Like many others, I got this torch to replace the cheap piece of junk that came with the little blue HHO machines. I am a retired glass artist, but I use mine as a small hand torch for preheating small pieces, melting in puntil marks, and melting small cabochons etc. After using it for several hours and trying the different tips, I can absolutely vouch for this torch. It has a nice sharp crack when you cut it off, which is a good sign with HHO, it is easy to hook up, comes with several different size tips, and a nice stand which doubles as a wrench to remove or tighten the tips. I haven't gotten the courage to flashback the torch on purpose to test that out yet, but as much as I use it, it is probably inevitable lol. If you are using it with those little blue machines, I would HIGHLY recommend installing a second bubbler to clean up the gas coming out of those things as they run hot and are full of steam which is ridden with electrolyte and probably caused your first little torch to fail in the first place. This torch surprised me, for the price I was expecting another piece of junk, but this is a great torch and a great price. WATCH YOUR PRESSURE if you are using the little needle tip!

Pros: A handy torch for use with HHO gas, with a very nice wrench and a good set of tips, and a built-in flashback arrestor. In most respects, this is a huge improvement over the torch that came with my HHO generator.Cons: The valve is a bit touchy (loose, and opens quickly with very little turning), so if you have a small flame and bump the knob even lightly the flame will either flare up or go out. The end to which you attach the tubing seems intended for a larger tube than came with my HHO generator; I was able to push it on part of the way, but I worry a bit about it coming off, as the torch lacks a threaded locking ring such as is on the other end of the tube, at the HHO generator.Note: It comes with one needle tip, and an adaptor. Works as expected. It's a great small torch for small work. Don't expect to do any big cuts or welds with this item. I would suggest being careful with the tips as to I've yet to see somewhere to order replacements.

I bought this to replace a missing one in a water welder shipped from China. It is very high quality and fits nicely in ones hand. It is light enough that it can be moved with pencil like precision for fine welding jobs.

The torch itself is okay, but the nozzle tips are poorly machined. Some oval. Some random shapes. Not much in the way of size variation on tips, with the only real variation being slight angles that don't fit into the slots in the case (likely because of randomness). They work. But you may get one usable nozzle tip from the bunch. Overall, a poor investment.
