This review is for the 55” oled model S55VOUG Got this for 600 and for that price it's a great deal. You get an lg oled panel and good build quality and aesthetics for a lot less than competitors. The next closest thing is an lg b4 which is a couple hundreds more. That or you'd have to wait for last year's oled to go on clearance. For this budget oled, you are giving up: - hdr performance, brightness - chipset performance sometimes opening the google tv menu can get laggy and the hdr scenes don't get as bright as other top shelf oled tv but if you don't watch a lot of hdr content like me then this is a good tradeoff where you can spend that extra hundred elsewhere like a nice sound system The screen is by no means dim though, indirect sunlight doesn't cause too much reflection and it's way brighter than my now aging high end samsung from many years ago Not much configuration to tinker with in the settings, all you really need for accurate colors is: - set the picture mode to movie - set the color temperature to warm or cool based on your preferences - turn brightness boost to off (you'll notice this brightens the tv because the setting is flipped) and you have a pretty good out of the box experience When setting up, you have the option to make the tv a dumb tv and not sign in with your google account which is nice. You are also able to switch to app only mode which removes google suggestions from your tv for less distractions and better tv menu performance The pedestal stand only raises the tv about 2", so keep that in mind if you have a soundbar that is taller than that When you are unboxing, look for the bag handles to assist lifting the tv out of the box

L1 of 2 tvs wouldn’t start

Excellent value for a true OLED TV. Picture is incredible. The software menu is very limited and not particularly intuitive. You get exactly what you paid for depending on what you need.

Picture quality is top notch as they use LG panel. Audio quality could have been better but can't complain. Sound bar should solve the problem.
