Heard about this from a friend and wanted to try. Arrived very fast. Looks like it was made very well. Sturdy plastic just like the Uncle Ben ones, except this one is all see through which is why I bought it. Would be good to check on mycelium growing. Rice: looks well hydrated, but excess water!! Great! I know Uncle Ben’s had some formula change where there’s too much water lately. Been exclusively using Uncle Ben’s Tek following 90sec mycology tutorials with success. Crossing fingers that this one is even better.

Absolutely a scam. I’ve had better luck on white label uncle Ben’s from grocers. At no point should anyone buy these for mycology. cordyceps, oysters, and reishi did not propagate…. They won’t even grow bacteria…. Been over 40 days watching to see if any of those three liquid cultures would start to grow….. nothing. Tossing this one up to citizen science. Don’t do it LOL

I ordered these because I was tired of buying all in one bags so I wanted to give S2B a shot. So far these bags are amazing, they colonize pretty fast too and it’s good for shoe box grows with a ratio of 1:1 and it will be perfect. Im definitely going to buy some more. But I will say they’re a little too pricey for 6 bags tho.

Awesome bags. On my 2nd purchase. Only had 1 contaminated bag out of 12. Definitely will be regular purchase. 6 come in box. Easy to use. Highly recommend this company

Clean and ready to go, came with some handy labels which was a nice touch. Good amount of room in the bag which is a plus for me since it allows more room for shake and breaking. Perfect moisture levels for liquid culture and my culture TOOK OFF in these. 1/24 bags contammed but probably because of me not the product.

Bought the six pack and nothing came back… wait… yes it did! All six contaminated. You could blame it on me, but I’ll never believe it. Wasted.

I did not particularly like these. I normally use corn and make my own, but I had a lot going on and also wanted to give rice a try. When I purchased, I could tell it was lighter colored rice from the pictures so not really sellers fault but in hindsight, it’s hard to see the contrast of growth in them with the lighter colored grain or rice. Out of all the six bags I got contamination in like half of them and not much of any growth at all and the others. I can’t say that the bags were contaminated prior to inoculation because I did not let them sit and wait for 10 days before using to make sure .I don’t have good patience lol. But between the slow growth, especially compared to popcorn and the contamination and the hard to see contrast that’s why I am leaving a three Star.

Tried this brand for the first time…two of the bags appeared to be contaminated out of the box so they were trashed. The other four were ok, much slower going than other spawn packs available. Seemed like a good value, but didn’t have the quality that was described or expected. They have reached out, since the review and offered a refund or replacement. Opened my eyes to the possibility that due to the bags being contaminated upon arrival, it is possible that I was sent a return from Amazon which I had never considered. Also an indication that my experience may be an unusual one.
