As a stylist this is my savior. It cleans even the most packed hair covered in products and really helps to pull out not just hair but the dust and other junk that gets stuck in brush. Works great on all sizes and types and can't beat the price really. It's lasted a long time and I use it daily so very effective . Small enough to easy pack in any bag to carry all around it's a great buy

Having read the reviews before buying, I admit I was just a little bit hesitant due to some reviewers mentiong that the metal bristles on one of them were easily bent out of shape. I was very pleased to find that didn't happen to me, and I have an idea why. I think the reviewers who had that problem were likely using it incorrectly. If you try to drag the tool in one shot from the top of the brush to the bottom, you'll likely bend the metal bristles because of all the hair it's trying to rake out of the brush. What I did was to use short, quick strokes working my way down the brush. Using this method I didn't have a problem with bent bristles, and it cleaned the hair from the brush quickly. I used the other cleaner with the plastic bristles to clean my Unbrush that I use to detailed my wet hair. I had no problem with any of those bristles breaking like some reviewers did. I think an important point to remember is to be gentle when using them, don't be impatient and try to clean the brush with one or two hard strokes. If used properly these should last a long time. I found these very easy to use, and it didn't take a lot of time, either. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I like the metal cleaner for my boar hair brush. It gets all the fine hairs out. The big black one, I use first to get all the visible hairs out first. Works well. Made well. Easy to use, just brushing my brushes.

My brush is a combination Natural boar bristle with nylon. I found the little rake items didn’t perform like I hoped but the black plastic piece worked just fine

Tried it for my brushes. And the black one already started to break and didnt even do anything the metal one did honestly everything that black one couldnt do very disappointed how quick it broke
