The large area and open design make it the ideal tool to remove fried chicken and french fries from the pan quickly. We cut and bread small chunks of breast meat about the size of nuggets and used to struggle to remove each batch quickly enough to prevent any stragglers from getting burned. My son loves it.

It can be used for many different types of cooking. Pasta, shrimp, as well as deep fried items. Inexpensive, sturdy. Use your imagination, you’ll find it very useful. By its nature, it may take some effort to clean, depending on the dish you’re cooking. But that’s just par for the course. That’s the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. But that’s just being honest. It shouldn’t be a barrier to purchase.

After my plastic one half melted in deep fryer I bought this metal one. Much easier to clean as its not as greasy as plastic one I previously owned. Built sturdy compared to plastic, very easy to use and remove items from fryer. It functions faster than plastic ones with holes as it drains instantly. Great value as I've used it daily and still just like the day it came out of the box. Buy it

I have two of these. I use one to scoop the cat litter pan and one to scoop cinders out of the ashes in my wood stove. They are solid and useful. I guess I could use one for cooking, but NOT the cat litter one. LOL
