30 in. 5 Drawer Mechanic's Tool Cart Cabinet - Black

I’m going to let you guys know why I went with a black cart instead of the other colors. I picked mine up from a local HF, Amazon marks the price up crazy. But before, I’ve been looking at these carts for awhile now. When I got to the store and inspected all the carts in store I noticed the black one was a lot sturdier than the rest. For example the black tool cart sheet metal was a lot more stiffer than the others they were flimsy and felt thin. The paint job was a lot better on the black vs the other had orange peel and over spray. The two metal pieces that goes inside the top tray on the black one looks to be spot welded vs the others are riveted and also has a gap on each end as you can see in the pictures I’ve posted. Also the box itself is almost flush against the leg on the black one vs the others have a pretty big gap between the leg and box itself after being screwed in. The 3 top drawers on the black cart sits nicely close together like it’s suppose to vs the others had a very wide gap in between them, I measured the width of the drawers so you can see the difference. I asked the store manager about the differences in the tool carts and he told me that they are all made in China but if you look at the SKU numbers on the sales tag sometimes one or multiple numbers mean that each number represents that it is made from different factories. To make sure I got a good quality cart I went with the same SKU number as the one on the back of the display cart. Just thought I’d share some things I found before buying one for myself and hopefully you guys can get lucky and find another color besides black that’s made with quality. I really liked the blue one but in my opinion was the worse quality out of all the other colors. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks hien for your post on this tool chest i actually got the blue one a day prior and after reading what you pointed out i returned the blue for a black and its actually much better even 2 years later lol tyvm again
