GREAT VALUE. Sharp, strong, blade - slightly thicker than stated, but that is a good thing. Comfortable handle set higher so your fingers won't hit the cutting board when chopping. Oh, and it is light and easy to control.

Excellent value for the money!
Not what I was expecting. I have decent knife skills from cooking in professional kitchens in my youth and have been known to spend hundreds of dollars for knives. I was just looking for a sushi knife to learn with as I teach myself to make western sushi without dropping +$200 on a professional traditional Japanese sushi knife. At first I balked at the price $23.99, but as I read it had a traditional wood handle - my preference - and was made from a decent knife steel. So I pulled the trigger and the knife arrived this afternoon. Was I surprised when I took it out of the box. It is nicely made, sharp, and balanced. It felt good in my hand and sliced through paper like it was not there. Before it arrived, I thought I would replace this knife if I decided to make western sushi regularly after learning, but this is a keeper. Cannot wait to use it!
