Kept the squirrels out
This helped keep the squirrels out of my garden all summer. It also sprayed me a few times. It's very effective. The coverage range is a lot bigger than I expected. It is kind of loud but I think that helps to keep the critters out. It held up all summer.

This works great!
Buy this. You will thank yourself later. Easy assembly. Needs 2 AA batteries. You can set the distance the water shoots out and how far left and right the sprinkler head shoots the water. You can also set the sensitivity. I am using it to keep birds off my lawn and it works. Buy it.

Pure Unadulterated Garbage!!!
Yeah look at the picture it really says it all!! This is only good if you want to provide a drinking fountain for raccoons! Hey Havaheart!!! So far the score is Raccoon's one (1) Haveahart Zero (0) Yeah Havehart the Racoons are making a fool out of your brand and your product!! The sensor is so weak and has such a narrow field to it they just walked around the piece of junk grabbed it by the head held it and drank from it while it was running. The Racoons turned this fraudulently advertised piece of junk into a toy and their own private water dispenser. This is the major flaw other accompanying flaws are as follows: Junk and I do mean cheap plastic junk construction. Upon assembly leaks were present had to tighten down further. After it worked for a while it started leaking again requiring more tightening. Not a big deal just figured I’d go ahead and use some Teflon tape to better secure the fittings. I never got around to putting the Teflon tape on though, because the sprinkler head portion of it flew off into the air and into the yard. So I went ahead and decrease the pressure to the hose thinking that might be the issue after snapping it back on. Next the triggering / valve sprinkling portion malfunctioned and continued running after it was triggered. Turned it off then back on @3:00 AM. Not Acceptable!!! Lastly, while activated with new batteries & water running the raccoons, turned this supposed deterrent into a private drinking fountain, please see the picture. You can’t stage a photo like this ,It really says it all. One star folks I would give you zero if it was at all possible, this is being returned. I do not advise anybody waste your time or money on this shoddy and useless, seriously flawed garbage. Amazon please pull this garbage, it is a waste of everyone’s time and money.

Keeps cats out, but uses a lot of batteries
I got this sprinkler to stop cats from using my yard as a litter box, and it worked. No more cat poop where the sprinkler is set up. You just have to aim it right so it catches movement. I ended up buying a second one because it did the job. It also works fine as a regular sprinkler. The only downside is the batteries since it goes through AA batteries fast. I usually have to change them every week or two. Still, it’s worth it if you’re trying to keep animals out.

Works well after some simple modifications.
I bought this to first keep my dogs out of the area I just planted grass in and later to keep animals out of our garden. I just got it yesterday, so this review is basically my first impression. It seems to work fairly well. At first it was cycling continuously. I found two possible reasons for this. I had the sensitivity set to the highest setting so I turned it down. Even so it continued to cycle. Then I noticed that the item would turn, and even the slightest motion of the sprinkler itself would trigger it. Having only one "stake" to go into the ground I placed spare tent pegs on either side of the hose to keep it from turning. After that AND keeping the sensitivity setting at 3 or lower (max is 4) it worked fine. Even with the stakes in place if the sensitivity was set to 4 it would cycle continuously. Possibly because it is then sensing movement from the tree about 54 feet away. Aside from the sprinkler turning, the "spray coverage limiter" also moves during use. This allows the sprinkler to spray in an undesired location. It works good for scaring the dogs out of the area until it turns out of the desired area. To fix this I will probably put a zip tie or something on the guard to squeeze it tighter. As for using it as a sprinkler (which I haven't attempted yet) I only see 3 possible coverage patterns; about 75, 270 or 360 degrees. This limits the places I can put it. I would typically set it at 180 degrees. Since I bought this mainly to scare animals I am happy with it (after a few additional simple modifications).

Works like a charm for cats
Lol this thing works great. The videos are even better. I live in Florida and there are feral cats everywhere, it good and bad, no rodents but cats lol. Not a cat fan but I don't want to hurt them. This thing scares the crap out of them. We have a big property and they found an area to make for their communal toilet, not anymore lol. I will get a couple more to use in places I'd like them to keep out of as well. I use rechargeable batteries a lot so no worries about going through batteries.

Low sensitivity/malfunction and won’t shut off
I bought this because of the price, as well as some of you were saying it had higher sensitivity than the orbit. If that’s true, then the orbit has extremely low sensitivity seeing as how this product is more miss than hit. I really never heard of going off at night so I would bet it doesn’t work at night since it really doesn’t work well during the day. I could run in front of it. I could wave my hand in front of it a dog could run in front of it and sometimes it would work. When it would work, it works great. Sometimes it will keep birds away if it senses them. Forget it picking up groundhogs no way. That’s why I bought this as well as birds. When it started malfunctioning and not shutting off, I didn’t think it would be a regular thing, but it turns out it is. I’ve only had this for one week. I gave it two Stars because the range is pretty good and it has a sprinkler setting that I really like. However, I will be returning this because it just doesn’t work properly. I even bought a brand new batteries and change them out and still no luck. Another thing about this product is when it is on the sprinkler setting, even if it is deep into the ground, it usually becomes unstable and falls and I noticed that it leaks pretty bad. It is a lower quality product and you can tell by the materials. My search continues.

Finally, a solution for plant eating deer!
Finally, a solution that really works to stop the deer from eating my annuals! I have made numerous attempts to keep the deer from eating my landscape plants and flowers. This year, I only planted “deer resistant” annuals, yet the deer still ate them. The smelly sprays are expensive consumables that wash off with my automatic sprinkler that waters every other day. The deer became accustomed to the contraptions with ultrasonic sirens and red flashing lights. I have even covered many of my flowering plants with chicken wire, but the deer just rip that out. The Critter Ridder motion-sensing sprinkler is the answer. The sprinkler detects motion and shoots a 5 second burst of water in an adjustable arc. The Critter Ridder motion-detecting sprinklers can be daisy-chained together with multiple hoses so you can protect your entire perimeter. I have mine set up on a hose timer to only go off between 1:00 and 5:00 in the morning so my precious Amazon delivery person doesn’t get drenched. I set up my Birdfy camera to capture the panic the Critter Ridder causes to the deer that used to visit my property every night. Once the sprinkler shoots for 5 seconds, it resets and will shoot again and again. Setting it up was very quick and easy and it is in no way harmful to the deer. Please watch my attached video of one of my Critter Ridder motion-detecting sprinklers in action.
