Satisfactory Unit
The CD player works smoothly without background noise. The loading is fine, considering the top loading. The FM radio is easy to program and tunes well. All the controls are on the top front and work with a light touch. The sound is as good as can be expected in such a compact unit.I’m OK paying a little more for this unit, considering it’s big improvement in sound and functionality over another comparable unit I tried.

Sound lacks depth
Very AM radio sounding. I didn’t realize it was so small. A better speaker in the unit could have made it better.

NO Headphone Jack!
Beware: if you're buying this thing with the intention of using headphones, there is no headphone outlet of any kind, no matter what the description says. After finding no outlets and nothing in the manual, I went to the Philips site and sure enough, no headphone capacity of any sort. Returned.

A joke of a boombox
Ordered this for mom. It's a Dutch company but I guess they now have it made with Chinese parts. Mom said it's so tiny and like a cheap plastic toy and horrible sound quality and no directions.
