Amazing quality,no bleed and tight elastic strap. thickness is good, size is amazing for people who like doodling. The texture of the paper is also nice and soft.

Fantastic sketch book
Having used a range of sketchbooks over the years, some of which never get much beyond the first couple of pages, this is the best I've had for carrying around and general use. Smooth paper, perfect for the super fine ballpoint I like to use but thick enough to take light watercolor washes if required. All the pages open flat, and it's well made too, it feels like it will survive bumping around in a bag. I used moleskine before..lovely but expensive and you feel like you have to be perfect using them. With this pad I don't mind doing daft things and wasting paper, or gluing things in. It's a really lovely little book, and the square 12x12 size is a refreshing change too. I will be getting more!

Decent
This is a good sketchbook although I wouldn't recommend it for watercolours. The paper is strong but warps a lot when watercolour is added, which is fair considering the weight of the paper. Lovely size for travelling and the cover colours really are gorgeous in person.

Good for travelling and little sketches
Good size for travelling or doing little sketches in. Have used acrylic paint in it and it’s been fine. Good quality pages.

My go-to sketchbooks
I always come back to this brand for more sketchbooks. I've had 5 of these sturdy little A6 sketchbooks and they're great, though be warned they don't lay flat and they can be tough to draw in due to the paper size. The pages are very thick and a cream colour (thankfully not white) that's easy on the eyes. Worth the fiver!

A staple in my art supplies
Such versatile paper at a good price. There are so many pages in these pads they last for ages. And the smaller sizes are really good for a pocket or glovebox. I’ve done graphite work using powedered graphite and smudging and pencil on top and can get a surprising number of layers, lots of sharp detail and fairly dark graphite. You can smudge smooth as anything on it but it’s not so smooth it’s like Bristol board which I don’t enjoy. I’ve also used acrylic on it (with gesso pre prepared underneath) and it doesn’t buckle much at all. I’ve seen people use pastel and tombow pens and alerts and this paper looks good. Only thing I’d like is a whiter paper version as though I really enjoy using a cream toned paper it can sometimes photograph badly for social media and such, looking a bit dull and yellowed in an unpleasant way. But that’s usually more with graphite than when you add colour, which it complements well. I’d prefer a white one for graphite and a coloured one for everything else. Otherwise out of many different papers I’ve tried this will be a staple in my art supplies.

The photos are of my first sketchbook which is a portrait version. The one I am reviewing is the landscape version. Great for both wet and dry media. I have used pencils, pastels (both oil and soft - which need "fixing" if you don't want the opposite side of the paper to get marked), watercolour, Neocolor IIs and gouache so far and as long as the wet medium isn't too wet, the paper performs impressively well. These are not a cult favourite for no reason. I will continue to buy these sketchbooks over other brands. They're perfect for my everyday sketching requirements. Definitely recommend.

Love these sketchbooks! I always go for them when I need a new one! They are perfect for putting in my bag and using around town. I use pens, pencil, and even watercolour and the paper holds well!
