UPDATE: After 35 days of use I see obvious improvement. The short, fine hairs at my hairline (particularly at the temples) NEVER seemed to grow UNTIL I started using Nioxin 35 days ago. Hair at my temples was very sparse and my scalp showed through. Now it’s nearly filled in. I can’t honestly say if there is more growth on top of my head yet, but the hair seems much fuller. I realize it takes time for growth that begins below the surface to become apparent. In the meantime, I’m thrilled that my hair has become soft and so much more manageable. Another plus, just a small amount of shampoo and conditioner quickly turn into a rich lather. I don’t think I’ll ever use another product again. Purchased the 30 day supply. I’ve used the product generously and still have a lot left after 35 daily shampoos. Highly recommend it. Posted 35 days ago: I’ve been worried about thinning hair for a long time (female, 77). Decided to try this before Rogaine. Instructions say you must use it every day for the first month. I don’t usually wash my hair every day because it’s shoulder length, but I’m willing to put forth the extra effort to gain fuller hair! It has been 10 days since I began the regimen and my hair feels transformed! The shampoo and conditioner lather up super fast and have a really nice, light fragrance. The final step takes me a few extra minutes because I want to be sure to get good scalp coverage (be sure to shake the bottle until you don’t hear the contents moving), then I use a wide tooth comb to distribute it through my hair. I know it’s too soon to expect to see new hair growth on my scalp, but my center part and extreme thinning at the temples seem very much improved due to the new appearance of fullness. My hair feels like it’s alive again - nice movement and soft feel. I can’t wait to show my hairdresser! I should also note that I also began to massage my scalp twice daily to stimulate root growth. I’m all in on this product. Have taken multiple brands of hair growth pills, and have taken Biotin (5,000 mg) for many, many years. Working only from the “inside” hasn’t done it for me, but I am VERY hopeful that adding this product and working from the “outside” will be a game changer. I will update in a few months, but I have high hopes due to the new silky texture and fuller appearance.

Glory be to GOD!! Thank God that I found this product! Thank God for the person who started this company! Thank God for the people who work at Nioxin! Thank God for my hairdresser who recommended it! And Thank God that IT WORKED!!! I'm an early 40's female. After the first time I had COVID, I noticed my hair was falling out. Not in "clumps" so to speak, but definitely more than usual. The hair loss had started about a month after and seemed to subside within another month or two. But after this last time I had COVID, just when I thought the hair shedding was getting better, it got worse again. I love baking and cooking for others, but my hair shedding got to a point where I thought I'd never be able to do that again. One of my BIGGEST FEARS was that someone would find a hair in the food I made. It did happen to my immediate family a couple of times, and that was bad enough. But if it happened with friends, neighbors, or at a church potluck?! Oh, that would be mortifying! It was stressful to say the least. I had my blood tested and no hormonal imbalances, no deficiencies. As far as I knew, I didn't have any hair re-growth issues. But the growth just couldn't keep up with the loss. When I washed my hair and combed it out, I could see scalp far too easily. I became concerned. To a point where I perused the wigs on Amazon...in case it came down to it. I also looked for hair growth shampoos, but I didn't want to pick just anything. I can be a bit of a conspiracy theorist when it comes to everyday products. Are these people truly offering me something that will help? Or will it hurt me only enough to try and get me to buy more product? How can I trust just any product off the internet? So, I asked my hair dresser. She recommended Nioxin System 2 for me. It seemed expensive, but I was willing to try it. And I was SHOCKED that after my FIRST WASH, I had significantly less hair loss! I wondered if perhaps my old shampoo had some chemicals that just killed my hair! I continued for a month, shampooing (It has a really good lather), combing the conditioner through my hair with my fingers, and adding the foam to my scalp with every wash. In the attached picture that shows my wash-by-wash progress, I finally hit a day where I had LESS THAN 15 STRANDS LOST IN ONE DAY by Wash 20. I was SOLD! Of course, I've continued to use it. After the first month, I changed from using the foam everyday to only 3-4 times a week. It's been almost 3 months now, and sometimes I still have 10 or so strands, and a little more so when I skip a day to wash my hair. But there have also been days where I've only had 2 or 4 strands of hair lost from my wash. IT'S TRULY AMAZING!!! Keep in mind that when I talk about hair loss on Nioxin (and the attached progress pics), I'm only referencing hair lost from the wash and conditioning. It's not reflective of a full day's loss. I had some in my hairbrush after, but not enough to make a significant difference. I rarely see loose strands on my shirts, and I haven't had one stuck in my bra since I started. (Ladies, you know the struggle. LOL) I love the minty scent! It's calming to me, and even more calming knowing that IT WORKS!!! I'll be honest. The foam does make my hair feel a little sticky when I put too much on. But it also makes my hair feel much fuller than usual and gives it great body! Before I purchased the product, I saw reviews with pictures of people with their face blotched red. The back of the foam bottle does say it's got a chemical that can cause temporary redness, but I haven't had any trouble with that. (But then again, I don't typically rub the foam on my face since it's supposed to be a scalp thing.) Also at this point, while I do see a little hair growth, I don't know if that's normal hair growth or growth due to Nioxin. It definitely doesn't feel too much thicker (without the foam), but I've heard your hair only grows 1/2 inch a month, so it will take some time. I thank God and Nioxin that I now feel like I have more of a chance to see myself with full, flowing locks again someday soon!

Changed to Nioxin because I had used the product years ago when I was dealing with stress related hair loss and had success and needed to change from what I was using. The product I was using worked to a point but I did not like that the product never felt like it rinsed completely out. I like the shampoo a lot, it cleans my scalp and rinses out completely. I am not a fan of the conditioner, leaves my hair feeling limp and my scalp gets greasy faster even with a small amount. I am still figuring out how to use the treatment product, no clear directions as to how much or if need to use on wet or damp hair. I will say that my hair is in better condition and notice less hair loss and shedding since I started using the product. Will definitely continue using the shampoo and the treatment but I do not recommend the conditioner.

1 month trial, just bought my second bottle. (Review from a 21yr old mom, with post partum hair thinning/loss.) So I’m gonna be really honest with y'all when I say I saw one comment on tictok about this specific product from a middle aged mom and instantly got it. I’m 21, I have a one year old and I’ve noticed that my hair has basically stopped growing after I had him, along with the usual thinning and hair falling out you might expect after having a baby.. I wanted to stop bleaching anyways so I decided to use this along side it and let my natural hair grow out. (Have tried without this soap before for 6 months with maybe a 1/4th in of growth 😭 so I’m not trying to be bias hah) So far, I’ve noticed that my hair has went from frizzy and dry to really nice and soft just with the base soaps, I don’t have to use much personally because my hair is naturally pretty fine as is. I like the nice neutral smell of mint that the whole set has, and I love the feeling of coolness on my scalp after it’s nice lol. As far as hair froth my hair is actually growing again I’m shocked! I don’t have much of a reference on how unbelievably slow it was before but this is not even a month difference and it’s a huge difference for me. Another little thing is that I now have baby hairs all across my hair line that are growing pretty rapidly. Only small con for me is that it does make my forehead all red sometimes, or my scalp but the foaming stuff does say it’s happens and it’s not painful or anything so that’s the only thing! Over all this product has personally done me very well for post partum hair loss and over all hair health I love it. :)

My Hair Has Never Looked Better! I've always struggled with fine, somewhat lifeless hair, so I'm constantly on the lookout for products that can add some volume and thickness. I'm thrilled to say I've finally found my holy grail with this shampoo and conditioner! From the very first wash, I noticed a difference. My hair felt **clean and refreshed** without being stripped, and it had a surprising amount of **bounce and body**. After a few weeks of consistent use, the change is undeniable. My hair feels significantly **thicker and fuller**, and it even looks healthier. I'm no longer self-conscious about my scalp showing through, and styling my hair has become so much easier. Not only does it deliver on its promises for thickness, but it also leaves my hair feeling incredibly **soft and smooth**, and it has a lovely, subtle scent that isn't overpowering (minty). If you're looking to add some serious oomph to your hair, I cannot recommend this shampoo and conditioner highly enough. It's truly transformed my hair!

It worked ok. Not as well as I was hoping for. But I doubt that’s the products fault. The smell is tolerable.

This stuff saved my hair! Not only was my hair thinning, but it was also always flat, lifeless, dull, and greasy within half a day of washing. No other shampoo/conditioner I tried helped. This stuff is amazing. I have noticed my hair filling in, and my hair is now shiny and bouncy. I'm not exaggerating when I say I will never use another shampoo/conditioner. I'm a customer for life! Here are some tips from me if you are dealing with the same problems I mentioned above: -Wash your hair TWICE. The first wash is to get any products/dirt/grease out of your hair. I use a cheaper shampoo for the first wash. The second wash is to clean your scalp. Use this shampoo and focus on massaging the shampoo all over your head. - The instructions tell you to massage the conditioner into your scalp as well as your hair. I know we've all been told to only put conditioner on our ends, but this conditioner is different. Make sure you do this! -Blow dry your hair, don't let it air dry. I don't know why, but air drying your hair leads to it being flat and dull. With this system you won't have to wash your hair every day (I can go two days now!), so you don't have to worry about heat damage to your hair.

Let me preface my review by saying that I haven't used the Nioxin System 4:long enough to comment on growth results, but I want to comment what I have experience with this product within the first two weeks of usage. Hair Type and Texture: -Relaxed and colored afro-textured hair. Hair Issues: Dryness, breakage and thinning. Product con: Small amount of product for the price, particularly the foam. I don't know how long that small can will last given that you have to use it three times a week to get results. Product pro: Despite the bottles only being 5 oz, this is the highest quality, most concentrated shampoo I have ever bought. The bottle may be tiny but the shampoo is so concentrated that it only takes a pea-sized or even less to fully lather and cleanse the hair. Because the shampoo is so concentrated, if you take your time to lather, rub the shampoo down the hair shaft and scrub your scalp, there is no need to rinse and repeat. The peppermint smells great and feels amazing when it tingles on the scalp. The first time I used the shampoo, my hair felt soft immediately. Same thing after I used the conditioner. Because my hair is very coarse and sometimes feels hard, my hair felt so much softer after using the shampoo. Today was my second wash. And while I still have experienced shedding, my hair is not breaking as much. I did a major chop on my hair today. (2/2/2025) to get rid of the damaged hair and pretty much start over. I washed my hair with the nioxin before getting my haircut and my hair feel so much better and softer. I also noticed much less breaking as I combed through my hair. I will do an update to see if this product helps with the growth and thinning, but so far I'm loving the quality and how it has made my hair feel. You really do feel a difference in your hair the very first time you use it.
