The stand is heavy metal, so it won't tip , and it's tight so it won't change position during computer use. Care should be taken to fit the lower edge of the laptop to the two brackets at the lower edge of the stand. My 15.6 HP has an angled bottom edge that can slip. Plugged into my laptop for power, the stand reduced the heat coming from the laptop's own cooling areas. With an after-market 20W plug, it would have an even stronger effect. It is easy to set up and attach the cooling device. No tools needed, but some are provided if the hinges are too tight. They were not for me and I like the reassurance of the tightness and the weight of the base. The cooling is quiet. I can hear my laptop fan, not the METFUT fan. For the price on Amazon, this stand is more solid and stronger than I expected.

after buying this, i saw debatable results with a rog Zephyrus g16 2024 in most all situations. video rendering, 4k gaming, running engineering sims. while the plate is cool to the touch, i did not see any noticeable difference in temperature. while the concept is novel, it may violate the laws of thermodynamics. the heat sink is expelling energy downwards, effectively taking away heat from the system but the intake fan can easily mix the 2 streams effectively adding 20 watts of heat into the system. it may not be for me, but if you do buy it, make sure to put it in an open space so it doesn't breathe in exhaust. At max fan speed I would say the noise level is negligible. I'm just going to try repurposing it for a dj touring stand. weight functionality and durability are all high end and beat out many other stands.

The fan isn’t overly loud in 5W mode, but it does make a bit of noise when set to the higher 20W setting—though nothing that would be disruptive in a typical office setting. The inclusion of a USB Type-C cable and a USB-A to Type-C adapter gives you flexibility in how to power it. In summary, this cooling stand is an excellent choice for anyone who experiences laptop overheating, especially during intensive tasks. It does its job well and looks great doing it, but the weight and size may not make it ideal for those who need portability. Very impressed with the quality of this laptop stand. It's super heavy duty, not like the cheap ones that moves around. It's adjustable, you can move it as you see fit. For someone like me that works from home, having this makes working on a laptop so much more ergonomical. I have a older laptop so it heats up when using it all day, the fan is so helpful, you can position it to where the most heat is. It's portable so I bring it with me when I want to work in the office or a coffee shop. Very convenient. Super happy with it and has improve my day to day work.

I bought this for my sons and am really impressed by it's design. I have another from office but a different brand so I can do see the difference. The rotating feature is definitely a game changer I see how much my son enjoy this. Also this helps for his bodys posture. The semiconductor fan is unbelievable cold. ❄️. Overall feel is very sturdy .Defintely a Great buy!
